1. The first character I fell in love with. MATT. True story--way back in the day, I had determined to never watch Digimon because I was convinced it was a stupid show for kids and I was MUCH TOO ELITIST for that nonsense! Then one day, my little cousin came to visit from Florida, and she wanted to watch it on Saturday morning, and since she was the guest we had to oblige. So I ended up watching "The Storm of Friendship" completely against my will, and THERE WAS THIS KID with an angsty backstory that he overcame through the power of friendship!! and then he went to reunite with his cute little brother and save his rival-turned-best-friend and holy shit it was like ALL MY PINGS AT ONCE. I was a lost cause before the episode ended orz. 2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now. Davis. When 02 first started I thought he was kind of dumb and annoying, but I started to warm up to him almost immediately. He's so enthusiastic and happy-go-lucky and generally adorable... I dunno. XD But I adore him now. 3. The character everyone else loves that I don't. Ken. I mean, I can definitely see the appeal--sweet kid, angsty past, ridiculously adorable partner--but for some reason he just never clicked with me. 4. The character I love that everyone else hates. I DON'T KNOW WHO THE DIGIMON FANDOM HATES. I plead ignorance. XD 5. The character I used to love but don't any longer. I loved Takeru in 01, but cooled off on him in 02. I don't know why, really--maybe because he and Davis never got along, and I automatically took Davis's side (especially because the dub seemed to hate him XD). I HAVE NO IDEA, sorry TK. I still like him, just not as much? 6. The character I would shag anytime. I'll say Yamaki, because the others are all PRE-TEENS and I really don't want to think about that. 7. The character I'd want to be like. Ruki. She kicks ass; easily one of my favorite female characters ever. 8. The character I'd slap. Maaaaaybe Sora a little bit. For no real reason. Which is really unusual for me since I hate it when people dislike characters for no rational reason. HYPOCRIIIIIITE sob. 9. A pairing that I love. TAITO. I think that might have been my first yaoi fandom, actually. 10. A pairing that I hate. Matt/Sora. Completely 100% out of the blue with no explanation on either character's part (plus, Tai who?). The 02 epilogue is probably the closest I can get to understanding how some HP fans felt as the end of book 7. XD
