You can tell I wrote a lot because it's past 1 am!
I have all these random Reborn thoughts I want to post and they're totally not organized because this has not been a particularly organized week. BUT I'LL GIVE IT A SHOT.
ITEM THE FIRST: A holdover thought from last week's chapter (that would be the one with the ).
"It has something to do with the relationship between time and space. They call it time travel."
"I have a feeling that Irie isn't the main cause of all this. And if this clue is correct, this device that's used to travel to the past has a deeper connection,"
I'm not going to talk about this much because thinking about it gives me a headache and any theories I might have are far from the point of being coherent enough to type. But what I did want to say is that this immediately made me think of this:
"Everything about the development of the boxes involved coincidences happening at a most unusual frequency."
Strange coincidences? Time travel? CAN THESE TWO THINGS REALLY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH EACH OTHER? Just how deep does this rabbit hole go, Mr. Anderson? Anyway, food for thought.
ITEM THE SECOND: Chapter 203. Everyone's seen the spoilers posted at the comm by this point, but I'm not sure if Kirimi's translations were also posted or not, so here's the link to the Mangahelpers post just in case. Anyway, my thoughts in brief:
1. >>Hibari says he knows a lot about illusions, because he hates them.<<
This is just hilarious to me. EGADS THIS MAN KNOWS HOW TO HOLD A GRUDGE.
2. Someone in the comm said something along the lines of "I hope he loses for once," since apparently it's getting old? At any rate, I have to disagree. Kicking ass is like... Hibari's thing. It's what makes him Hibari. And it's so entertaining. I'm just more than content to sit back and let him take care of business, I dunno. XD
3. >>Hibari has 2 C rings left and 1 D ring left. He decides to use "that".<<
My immediate first thought: VONGOLA CLOUD RING.
I KNOW IT'S A LONG SHOT (haha, what's my prediction record these days? By this point it must be in shambles), but we know at some point the cloud ring has to show up somehow, because GATHER THE VONGOLA GUARDIANS RINGS has been a prime objective since like the start of this arc. And if they really have been destroyed, then we're still TWO SHORT, and we can hardly have ourselves a spiffy climax involving the tre-ni-sette if those two rings are still MIA. So either Hibari has to be swapped with Good Ol' Days Hibari at some point (which I'm still kind of rooting for because THE LULZ WOULD BE EPIC), or it'll turn out that when Yamamoto mentioned that some of the guardians had been opposed to Tsuna destroying the rings, HE WASN'T KIDDING. At any rate, I hope whatever he has up his sleeve is cool. XD
And last but not least, ITEM THE THIRD: Yamamoto! Because I was just thinking about how he really does seem down for the count, which means that he effectively KOed himself by running into that wall (WHICH WILL NEVER STOP BEING FUNNY), and that is not only epic, that is JUST PLAIN SPECIAL.
And then I started thinking about Yama's other fights.
Yamamoto vs. Ken
FEATURES: Yamamoto FALLING INTO A PIT. "Doping."
ENDS WITH: SWORD IN THE FACE.
Yamamoto vs. Squalo
FEAUTURES: SQUALO. Swordy fun times. Did I mention Squalo. Stuff for the anime to censor! Genereral epic win (did I mention this is one of my favorite fights of all time?).
ENDS WITH: A FUCKING SHARK.
Yamamoto vs. Mammon and Bel
FEATURES: A BILLION FLOATING BABIES.
ENDS WITH: TENTACLE RAPE.
Yamamoto vs. Genkishi
FEATURES: Sweet, sweet jailbait. More Squalo. And just in case he isn't gay enough, Lussuria.
ENDS WITH: RUNNING INTO A WALL.
In conclusion, this is why I like Yamamoto's fights.

i do vaguely remember yama saying not all the guardians agreed to the destruction of the rings, and so - it's possible that's why hibari and ryohei weren't transported? their rings are still in the 10yl!timeline, knocking about
in hibari's pocketssomewhere...and hahahah THOSE FIGHTS. i never thought about comparing the epic endings. just when i thought nothing could beat the shark, enter the WALL.

I had a similar feeling about Hibari having the Vongola Cloud Ring. I also remembered Yama saying there were Guardians against destruction of the rings. Had a feeling Hibari would be one of them. I don't remember if Ryohei has his Vongola ring or not. For some reason, I thought he did. But according to the front page in chapter 202, there is no Vongola ring pictured next to Ryohei. So if I'm interpreting this correctly, he was not in possession of the ring which means that it's either with someone else or maybe we can look for a time-swapped Ryohei later on. I really hope it's the former.
I'm hoping he entrusted it with his lover Hibari or his mistress Lissuria.no subject
Yeah, if Hibari and Ryohei never do get swapped, that would pretty much be the only possible conclusion. Of course, there's still the possibility that they will get switched out (I'm still anticipating that, honestly); it could be whoever was doing the swapping back in the past just ran into some problems. But of all the guardians to oppose the rings' destruction, I can easily picture Hibari at the top of the list (not least because he hates going along with anything to begin with, and also because by that point he may have already gotten into his fascination with the boxes and everything).
Now I'm just wondering how he's ever gonna top the wall, lol. XD

lol I know poor Yama XDYeah, if anyone would have held onto a ring, I'd definitely list Hibari first. ...And wow, somehow I actually completely missed that the characters' rings were displayed alongside them on that page. That's interesting--makes you wonder why Amano felt the need to remind us. Now I'm expecting some sort of Hibari twist more than ever. Of course, like you said, there's still always the possibility that Ryohei and Hibari will just get time-swapped late--maybe they're trying to see if it's possible to top Yamamoto's bad timing. XD
