Book 2 is where it really starts getting interesting, IIRC. More characters are introduced (including my favorite~), the plot starts figuring out where it's headed, and the pace starts to pick up. Heh, now I want to read it again. Hope you enjoy the rest!
Naruto was my last OTFandom too. I 100% support and agree with the statement that there needs to be more Aoba. You can never have too much Aoba. ♥ And I agree that that's one of the awesome things about KHR; you get side characters like Basil and Kusakabe and even M.M. popping up when you least expect them; heck, I think Shouichi's reappearance pretty much says it all. (And has Kishimoto really not shown Hana in that long? Since right before the timeskip, right? He really does forget characters too easily.)
