On the topic of online scanlation sites, I honestly think it would be AMAZING to have a subscription service manned by a legal company. Imagine what they can provide for QUALITY scanlation groups.
The DECENT translators can actually make a profit from their work, and everyone cleaning the pages and making it look great for the rest of us on a weekly basis can be provided with quality programs (obtained on a legal basis!) to assist in their work. I think the worst case scenarios for some series is dealing with name changes, if any, but whatever.
I'd like it. I wish they'd consider it. Perhaps a new company that works with all the manga companies, like TokyoPop, Viz, etc. Unedited and paid for, online. CONVENIENT.
