Definitely. The fact that he so rarely gets this determined makes it all the more awesome what he does, and I'm starting to think that was Amano's strategy all along.
To be honest, I would not be at all surprised if the big difference actually did turn out to have something to do with the bond between Tsuna and his family. XD But who knows. I'm curious too.

I'm so afraid this is going to end up being one of those things where he doesn't go with them and he's gone for so many chapters that we all but forget about him and then he finally shows up out of the blue to save everyone, and it's totally awesome but also totally not worth his being absent for like fifty chapters.
