Alas, with the events of the newest chapter, it seems that the hope of less Pokemonish battles is slim now, but maybe we can still have one or two old-school fights while the rings are being jazzed up? *HOPES* And yeah, there's nothing I'd like more than for Yamamoto to save the day in this arc AGAINST ALL ODDS. It would be so amazing.
