I love that this whole thing has turned into an argument about whether or not Tsuna is worthy of Gokudera's respect. Just think about that for a sec. After Shitt P's initial speech, the question of whether or not Gokudera actually had respect for himself never even came up. Yes! Gokudera really has grown so much since the early days...I mean, he was totally making progression before, but this chapter kind of brought everything together all at once and shoved it front and center like, "BAM! Fuck yeah I'm the Right Hand Man of the Tenth and I'm gonna do my job and that's all there is to it" and he was just so honest and nonchalant about it all.
And I think we were all vicariously living through Shitt P during this chapter. AJSALJFHALSJHFA My God that boy is hot.
I'm still trying to be optimistic that he's got the rest of the C.A.I. because this battle isn't over yet...don't fail me now Amano, show us his kickass upgrades! But my honest reaction after seeing the rules and the imposed time limit was, "...goddammit, is he going to lose again?" Once, just once, I want to see Gokudera have a huge leap in character development and be able to outright win his fight. I will be beyond crushed if he loses or ties now.
