That did occur to me, but I think that even though Spade obviously had issues with how Giotto was running things, he didn't necessarily want to kill the guy. I mean, there must have been something approaching respect there once; Giotto got him to join Vongola to begin with, after all. And the end of the Primo Arc seemed to hint that even now, Spade is secretly just as gay for the boss as the rest of the guardians are, so. Maybe there is/was something resembling a soul deep, deep down there? Like, miles deep? Maybe?

And yeah, I'm still trying to figure out what the fuck the Vindice have to do with any of this, and why they have these magical little trinkets that clearly show that Spade was behind the whole Vongola/Simon misunderstanding barely more than halfway in. IF THEY KNEW THAT, THEN WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST TELL EVERYONE? Why are they being forced to battle for their freedom? IT MAKES NO SENSE, are they just doing it for the lulz??

AND YES, Kaoru has not so much been redeemed as just proven ultra-stab-happy. The slightest provocation and the next thing you know there's a hole in someone's torso! Dude needs to CALM THE FUCK DOWN. XD
