Anyway (IS ANYONE EVEN OUT THERE READING THIS ANYMORE??), I missed like five chapters apparently, so what I am going to do is post a review a day for five days. And then on the sixth day, I am going to the beach! AND THEN ON THE SEVENTH DAY I WILL COME BACK AND DO THE SIXTH REVIEW. It almost worked out nicely, but what are you gonna do.

So I think we are starting with KHR 336!

ALSO, I am just doing all of these in bullet points from now on because it is much less time consuming and thus I am that much less likely to flake out. As you might have noticed, this is becoming a very important factor for me recently. XD

This cover is hilarious to me in ways I can't begin to describe. And also it sorta reminds me of that Kyuubi transformation Naruto had a habit of doing a while back (or maybe still... wow, I should really catch up with Naruto again, come to think). With the tails making him crazy and whatnot. YOU KNOW THE ONE, but if you don't rest assured it's not really relevant anyway!

I imagine that there are a lot of flashing lights and aa-ooh-gah noises going down in Vindice HQ right now! I hope we get a miniature grand tour of the place as we follow Spade on his way out. Like a mini KHR Impel Down arc.

Mukuro being an owl is also a lot funnier this chapter than it was last chapter. Like, crazy funny. I keep looking at his Serious Owl Face going "DAEMON SPADE!!" and cracking the fuck up. oh goodness.

"WHO COULD DO SUCH A THING?!" Tsuna, I have no idea! Let's sit down and make a long list of all the possible suspects, OH WAIT, THERE IS LITERALLY ONLY ONE SUSPECT! IT IS THE GUY WHO LITERALLY JUST CEASED FIGHTING MUKURO AND POSSESSING JULIE, LIKE SERIOUSLY TWO MINUTES AGO. THAT GUY! I KNOW, IT'S LIKE TOTALLY OUT OF LEFT FIELD, BUT THERE IT IS! SURPRISED? APPARENTLY!

Enma and Chrome look ridiculously young and adorable in these reaction panels. Like, too babyfaced to even be involved in this madness. I want to take them and lock them up somewhere in a safe place filled with graham crackers and puppies and just tell them to wait it out while the big kids take care of everything, and don't worry it'll be just fine.

By the way is Nametwin just not important enough to get a reaction panel too or what. :/

Mukuro as an owl was funny enough, but Mukuro as an Exposition Owl may just be the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. I am. in tears. ;___;

Was that Yamamoto saying all those logical smart things about Spade being stuck in prison, or Reborn? I really hope it was Yamamoto, because even though he's wrong they were still very rational and reasonable points to bring up while everyone else was panicking, and him saying those things would make me love him even more than I already do.

"Hey, Enma... could you fill me in on WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING HERE because seriously." Julie! You've already been on the fast track to becoming a top ten favorite ever since Adelheid flashbacked about you, but I have to say you're doing better than I would have ever thought!

I also love that Enma assumes these guys came to take Julie instead of him. Lol. "So they really are coming to take Julie, or at least THEY HAD BETTER BE, because I sure as hell ain't going with them. 8|" And Julie's all, "THE FUCK NOW??!" I died orz.

Oh you Vindice. The balls on you guys! "Say, let's let bygones be bygones... I know we were imprisoning your family members one by one for an extremely arbitrary and ridiculous reason a little while ago, but now that we need your help we're just going to act like we've been chums this whole time!" If I were Tsuna I would just be like, "Oh hell no screw you guys," but that's why I'm not Tsuna, I suppose. That and a host of other common sense reasons like him being fictional and a dude and fictional and all.

"We could handle the situation with our power..." Um, well no, I'm guessing that is a bald-faced lie. I'm telling you, though, these guys have nads the size of Adelheid's boobs.

I think it's less his duty to the Vongola that's driving him and more like his own freaking insanity, but tomato, to-mah-to.

Okay, lol doesn't even begin to cut it here, just. "KHR!" doesn't even work, and that one abbreviation is usually more than sufficient to cover no small amount of weirdness and/or hilarity. But this, this is just like. KHR SQUARED.

So I assume this is actually just the halfway point of this arc we're reaching just now? It seems too abrupt to be the climax, at any rate. Then again, looking at the pace this arc has had so far, I suppose I should never underestimate Amano. Still, now seems as good a time as ever to jot down a quick wishlist for Inheritance Arc, Part II. Then you guys can all laugh at my hopelessly outdated requests, and/or spoil me for what is actually to come! HERE WE GO:

MORE JULIE. All of the other Simon family members have had their chance to shine already, and given that they're all currently locked away in prison, it means less characters for Amano to get distracted with. Smaller cast means more screentime for each remaining member, right?
KAWAHIRA! THAT FUCKING GUY, IT'S MORE THAN PAST HIGH TIME FOR HIM TO SHOW UP AGAIN DON'T YOU THINK? BECAUSE SERIOUSLY WHAT THE FUCK. It needed to be said, anyway.

What I do want to see plot-wise is more explanation about that whole flood of blood thing. Because that just got tossed aside and needs to be referred to again. God forbid it become Gokudera's parents all over again, with just an afterthought resolution mentioned for like two pages in the last chapter of the arc.
Coyote kind of died/went mysteriously missing too, didn't he? Let's check up on that at some point.
REMEMBER THAT CLIFF FROM THAT ONE CHAPTER WHERE THEY SHOWED THE WHOLE LAYOUT OF THE ISLAND? I am still secretly hoping for a finale set there at some point. Hope will never die.
Maybe being stuck as an owl for a prolonged span of time will teach Mukuro the true meaning of Christmas finally hey you never know.
Or else Hibari will change his mind about being to tired to fight him or whatever and they'll have a go at it. Lulz wlll ensue.

And yeah, it's like, they spend all this time throwing people into prison for no reason (NO REASON. Seriously! Bermuda just APPEARED while Giotto and Cozart were shaking hands and was like, "AHA! BUT IF EITHER OF YOU BREAKS YOUR WORD, JAIL FOR EVERYBODY"), and then they fuck up and let this guy break out of their prison for the third freaking time and then they come running back to Tsuna and Enma and demand that they handle it, or else. It's like, how rude can they get? Bermuda couldn't even let Giotto and Cozart bromance.

It really doesn't make any sense at all. And I think I just realized that, which is a real sad reality. XD

He just makes up his own rules whenever he feels like it and expects everyone else to play along. And I personally don't remember a meeting where all the characters gathered together and elected him Boss of Everything, but clearly his recollection is very different from mine. XD

Dunno about you, but I'm starting to think Vindice will be in the list of institutions TsunaBoss will find an excuse to restructure in the future. Maybe put it under better management, you know.

this is me, snickering at a couple of your predictions...

There is one Tsunafic I am dying to write which is an alternate ending to this arc in which he offers himself up to the Vindice in return for getting all of his family members and the Simon family members released, and they accept, and he gets locked up and some indeterminate period of time later, Reborn comes a'knockin' to bust him out, and Tsuna is actually reluctant because for once there was finally no pressure on him anymore and he didn't have to worry about keeping everyone safe or letting everyone down and what have you, and as they're on the run from the pursuing Vindice they have various character development moments and Tsuna finally just mans up and has an 'okay fine if this is what I have to do then I guess I'll stop fighting it and become the boss and make things better even if it means accepting the reality that my life isn't really my own any more' moment-slash-epiphany. Hot damn I would love to write that. But for the time being I'll just have to settle for it being one of my go-to KHR angsty plot daydreams, since I have too many other fics I need to work on, especially now that Undercover's started again.

That said, this chapter has me craving Shounen!Determination!Glare-ish Tsuna things like whoa, so please link away, if you don't mind. :)

He really is. This arc has definitely been the best when it comes to Tsuna's awesomeness. I hope there is still more in the chapters to come that have... already come? XD

Tsuna has so many interesting facets, and we're always seeing them from up close, that when you step back and watch from a few degrees of separation he could come across as ANYTHING. Cold boss, rich brat, dorky school kid, sexy teen...

FUCK YES C.A.I. I am still so pumped about that. My unconditional love for Gokudera had caused me to suppress my deep feelings of devastation back when we first saw his VG and it looked as if the C.A.I. was no more, because I really wanted to love his powerup no matter what (and also, BANDOLIER~!). But in truth I may never have gotten over that loss. So now it's like having a beloved... thing... brought back! *DANCES*

And I probably will scatter some Homestuck reaction posts here and there every now and then when the mood strikes. I love the series too much not to. The only thing is, I'm actually afraid that if I do start doing HS reviews it will make a sneaky coup and actually try to take over as my main fandom. It is incredibly sneaky like that! Still, at some point I am just going to be overwhelmed by one of Hussie's updates and will have no choice but to either post or EXPLODE WITH FEELINGS, so we'll see how it goes. XD

The sad but real truth is there are many other non-KHR-related things to do and experience in the world, and they can take up a lot of or even all of the time one might otherwise occupy with KHR-related things! But I'll always keep on coming back, even if my visits get more and more infrequent. LET US DELICATELY SAMPLE WHATEVER NEW CRACK AMANO HAS PUT ON THE TABLE IN THE MEANTIME TOGETHER.

I, personally, found them to be full of the best kind of LULz.

It's awfully funny in a weird sort of way. You must admit that it seems like Amano's getting a tad sadistic.

This intrigues me! The thing is, my standards for what makes a good/entertaining chapter of KHR are ridiculously low (painfully low, even XD), so a chapter would really have to be, like, DEVASTATINGLY bad for me to not enjoy it. And even then, odds are I'd still be digging it just cuz of the lulz. So we'll see, but for now I'm still looking forward to it!

It's not not enjoyable (...)...but it's just...not nice. But still awesome in a way. Kinda like why people would still read a book after we find out that the main character's wife had an affair with his worse enemy, and that he learnt that his mother was some evil witch, and that he's the real bad guy or something.

But if any if those things are your cup of tea (and who DOESN'T love the awesomeness incarnate that is the C.A.I.? Only crazy people, that's who), it is definitely worth taking ten minutes or so to catch up, or such is my analysis so far at least. (Though I'm still three chapters behind myself, so who knows?)
