Television is serious business.

So, guys. Apparently, having a bunch of half-Puerto Rican teenagers and twenty-somethings around means that my mom's place is a valuable source of information for the Nielsen Ratings. In other words, they finished installing the little set meter boxes they use to keep track of what we watch just this morning.

In other other words, suddenly what I watch on television matters. W-what is this strange new power omg. And since I don't watch that much TV these days and thus have very little idea of what's on that's worth checking out, I NEED YOUR HELP. TELL ME WHAT IS GOOD FOR WATCHING.

Keep in mind that I'm always at my my mom's on Mondays and Tuesdays, but never Wednesdays and Thursdays and only sometimes on the weekends. lol wacky schedule OTHER THAN THAT, THERE ARE NO RULES. Of course I'm already planning to kick things off by watching, oh, THE NEW* EPISODE OF AVATAR tonight, but aside from that I have no plans!

*hahahahaha. "New." XD

ETA: lol I just found out we're not supposed to ask other people what we should watch because it could skew the ratings. But hell, it's not like I've never asked people for TV recs before anyway. :P

I don't know what's on the channels at your side, but if they are thinking about bringing back Whose line if the ratings are good (for their reruns, lol) then please for love of God, watch it. 8DDD And tell everyone there to do the same!

... I miss Whose line. ):

Other than that uhhh... Heroes? 8D Or Lost or something HAHA.

I have never seen Whose Line, but if I happen to see it's on I'll definitely check it out. :D

Haha, yes, definitely those two. Apparently we keep the box for two years, so I'll be able to help boost Lost's ratings even by next January when season 5 finally premieres. XDDD This makes me happy.

Maybe I should've specified. xDDD

Whose line is it anyway? xDDD

I wish my country did that! Then I'd be able to prove to them that Days Of Our Lives SUCK! )8< But haha Lost. *____* I don't really follow it (but having 3 family members who do means you have to anyway xD) but the last episode for episode 4 is just.. AUGH FREAKIN' CLIFFHANGER. )B

[identity profile] makeste.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha yeah, I figured that's what you were talking about. I've heard of it, just never seen it.

OH MY GOD THAT CLIFFHANGER ARGH. I've never been this excited for the next season EVER, just because literally anything could happen. We have no idea where they'll pick up, we have no idea if/how the Oceanic 6 (plus assorted company) are gonna get back to the island, and speaking of the island, we have no idea what the hell went on there for THREE FUCKING YEARS omg. Sawyer is my favorite so I'm really dying to know what happened to him. XDDDD

;___; You've never seen Whose Line? You should! It's my favourite TV show of all time! It beats Lost and Heroes hands down haha..

I just realised. UGH TYPO. I meant season (as you've prolly already knew), and yes, even though I don't follow it religiously, I still want to know what happens next! I like Charlie, but he died. ;____;" AND HURLEY HAHA. Sawyer's so funny too. xD

ERRR WOW TELEVISION.

I could ask you to watch my favorite shows... but I don't really watch a lot of tv XD;;

I mean I love House, but thats already popular enough. Watch CARTOONS B=. I essentially spend most of my tv watching on cartoon channels. er the Marvelous Misadventure of Flapjack and Chowder are the best two Cartoon Network shows... and I love Adult Swim stuff like Venture Brothers, Home Movies, Boondocks and Mission Hill... but iunno if that stuff is your kind of thing. I also like a lot of Comedy Central Stand-up... XD;;; Maybe... if you watch Teen Titans reruns enough they'll bring back new episodes? XD haha I wish...

[identity profile] makeste.livejournal.com 2008-07-15 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
CARTOONS haha my brothers actually watch almost all of those shows already (my fifteen-year-old brother is addicted to both Adult Swim and Comedy Central), so we should be covered on that front! And I'm definitely watching as much Home Movies as I can especially, I love that show. XD

I like watching some shows on Bravo. Like Project Runway, Sheer Genius, and Top Chef.

On Fox, there's So You Think You Can Dance. Love that show.

I second The Boondocks. I watched my cousin's DVDs for the first time, and it was quite entertaining.

I don't often watch Bravo, so I'll have to check those out. I think I've seen Sheer Genius once or twice; it was entertaining. :)

My sister watches So You Think You Can Dance, though not all the time. Noted as well! And like I said above, we've got Adult Swim covered. |D

Oh yeah...you can also check out clips from those shows on YouTube. I do that a lot for So You Think You Can Dance.

On MTV, I like America's Best Dance Crew (but you can check out full episodes on mtv.com so it's not necessary to watch on TV).
