WIP checklist update
I did this about three months ago, and last night I looked back at it and realized it was kinda out of date. XD So!
What this is: A list of all the fandom projects I'm currently working on, and their nearness to completion (mostly for my own reference XD). Disclaimer: Odds are good that several of the things listed here won't ever see the light of day because sometimes I just drop things for no reason and never pick them back up. And there's also a good chance that I might turn around tomorrow and write/post something that isn't even on this list, because inspiration is weird like that. Anyway.
Project: Fratellanza (Gokudera and Lambo-centric 5YL action/gen fic)
Details: Okay, so this is basically this big mafia drama/action/intrigue THING I dreamed up one day because I got inspired by the whole "Storm and Lightning are like brothers" thing in the manga. It's set five years after the start of the series, and the plot is basically that there are issues with the Bovino family, and Gokudera ends up traveling to Italy with 10-year-old Lambo in tow to sort them out while the rest of the family deals with problems back in Japan. The plot is centered around the character development of those too, as well as the aforementioned mafia drama/action-y stuff.
Status: Story outline is finished, and the first chapter is about 50% complete. I'm slowly getting into the habit of working on it a little each day, so the progress is becoming steadier now.
Prognosis: Good! It's coming together pretty nicely; as long as I don't hit any giant hurdles or suddenly realize that there's like a huge plothole I have to cover or something, I should be able to post the first chapter soon. |D
Project: Stand by You (5927 FST)
Details: ANOTHER FAN SOUNDTRACK. Because I did 8059 and I did the general FST, and in the process of doing those I realized I had about thirty songs that made me think of Gokudera and Tsuna, and the idea wouldn't leave me alone afterward. HELP I'M GETTING ADDICTED TO THESE.
Status: 33% complete. I have the songs, so it's basically just narrowing them down, organizing them, making and uploading the zip file, and doing the cover art. Or in other words, all of the actual work. XD
Prognosis: Good. I'll be putting it on hold for a little bit while I work on the first project, but once that's moving along I'll get to this.
Project: Seven moments (Vongola gen drabble; title will change)
Details: Basically it's a collection of seven short drabbles about each of the guardians plus Tsuna, and the idea was to show a moment for each character when they go through an important change (e.g. for Yamamoto it's realizing it's not a game; for Lambo it's taking a stand/doing something brave, etc.). The idea kind of hit me at random.
Status: 14% complete, which is to say I wrote Gokudera's drabble and then got extremely lazy. XD
Prognosis: Fairly good, assuming that when I start writing again I can manage to finish Hibari and Mukuro's sections without losing my mind. Probably won't be done anytime soon, though.
Project: Untitled 59 pairing essay
Details: Basically this is (or was, anyway) a comparison of 5927 and 8059 from my perspective. Because I like to rant about Gokudera.
Status: 50% complete. Just about done with the GokuTsuna part, but haven't really started the YamaGoku part yet. However, I have made absolutely zero progress with this since the last time I posted an update. The problem is, somewhere along the line while I was shipping 8059 and 5927, GOKUHARU CAME ALONG AND SOMEHOW EDGED OUT BOTH? Which is, um. Awkward. XD
Prognosis: I'm... not so sure at this point. I might ditch the GokuTsuna vs YamaGoku theme and just turn it into a general essay about Gokudera and pairings in general. But I really haven't done much thinking about this one lately.
Project: Untitled Shamal fic
Details: It's a fic. About Shamal. XD More specifically, about how he got involved with Gokudera's family, his relationship with Gokudera's mother, and his relationship with Gokudera himself. Because I'm endlessly fascinated by the idea of it.
Status: 10% complete. I started writing it out of nowhere at few months ago, and then DROPPED IT LIKE A SACK OF POTATOES, sob. I want to write more, but I'm kinda stuck.
Prognosis: Still on the backburner. Haven't had any inspiration for this at all, sadly; I thought watching the recent Gokudera flashback episode in the anime might help, but no go. Who knows.
Project: Tournament of Spring (gen Reborn humor fic; title will probably be changed)
Details: This is basically crack, and then some. I wanted to write a KHR humor fic, and since the Daily Life arc was filled with random Vongola-style holiday events, I decided to base a fic around one of those. I was going for random, so it ended up being about the Vernal Equinox. Except that has now long since passed (CAN YOU TELL HOW LONG AGO I STARTED THIS?), so I may have to change things around later.
Status: 33% complete. Basically I only work on it when I'm feeling exceptionally silly and/or bored.
Prognosis: SOMEDAY I'LL FINISH THIS. It may quite possibly turn out to be the stupidest thing I've ever written but BY GOSH I'LL DO IT ANYWAY. That said, this is another one for which zero progress has been recently made.
