The nice thing about living in Jersey: all the hurricanes and tropical storms tend to wuss out by the time they get anywhere near here, thankfully. Currently Hanna is trying her best, but it's not really doing much. XD

Anyway, let's ignore that mini-bangs aside, this is my first post in like a month (I have NO EXCUSE sob). Here is a meme from

krillia which I have done before, but THIS TIME. IT'S WITH A DIFFERENT LETTER?! WHO SAW THAT COMING, madness, I know.

My letter was O. D:

Ozymandias (Watchmen) - Ahahaha. I don't really like any of the characters in Watchmen because they're all kind of batshit in their own various ways, but that doesn't mean they're not interesting. Ozy is one of my favorites in that sense, because, well, spoiler. (And also, spoiler.) He kind of reminds me of another megalomaniac genius from a certain manga which shall not be named because... yeah. Spoiler. XD

Obi-Wan Kenobi (Star Wars) - Obi-Wan is easily my favorite character in the prequel trilogy, and would be my favorite Star Wars character overall but for the fact of Han's existence. Still, I love him--he's smart, he's snarky, he's kind of a badass, and he chops limbs off in bars wheeee. And despite his going through all the angst of watching his master die, losing his apprentice to the DARK SIDE, and losing all his friends to SURPRISE GENOCIDE, he still manages to keep hope alive for the next generation. Obi-Wan, you are cool.

Obito (Naruto) - Holy shit do I adore this kid. He's the reason I love Kakashi Gaiden, and quite possibly the reason I love Kakashi himself. He's sweet and endearing in his failureness, and then HOSHITAWESOME when he finally steps up to the plate. And then of course, his sacrifice afterwards... ;_; That's still one of the only times I've ever really cried when reading a manga.

Ozai (Avatar) - Haha such a dick. But I like that he remained uncompromisingly a dick right up until the end. It was actually a refreshing change from all those bad guys who end up redeeming themselves and/or having sympathetic backstories, etc. No thank you, Ozai's perfectly comfortable committing genocide, laying waste to nations, banishing his lovers, and attempting to kill 12-year-old Jesus kids. Talk about your final villains.

Omegamon (Digimon) - YOU GUYS IT'S WARGREYMON AND METALGARURUMON DIGIVOLVED TOGETHER. HOW IS THAT NOT AWESOME. I nearly died of fangirling when I first watched that movie; I'M NOT ASHAMED TO SAY IT.

Well, it may have taken a digimon but I made it to five. \o/

Haah, Hanna's around my parts too. It's so rainy and gloomy! I had hoped to go out and get some books today. T__T;;

Yeah, one thing I definitely could do without is the gloom. I miss the days of short-and-awesome summer thunderstorms that SWOOP DOWN AND DRENCH THINGS very suddenly but only last like ten minutes. This kind of rain is depressing. XD

Yeah, it was mostly a combination of things being pretty dull + sudden inexplicable lack of motivation to ramble about fandomy things. (Maybe it was end-of-summer depression. XD)

~~Omnimon is the dub name, yeah. Though both names are pretty cool.~~ Yeah, that part will always be one of my favorite Digimon moments. It was epic.

Yeah, that sucks. :( I hope this hurricane season won't be as bad as it's been making out to be. And yeah, it was nice that Ozai didn't wimp out. :P

Seemingly, the weather's been nice. My area was supposed to get hit by a tropical storm and then a hurricane, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen xD

Yeah, thankfully by the time any hurricanes get close to where I live, they've usually died down to milder tropical storms. I worry about everyone who lives further south, though. XD Glad your neck of the woods is safe, anyway!

And yes, Obi-Wan. ♥ Ewan McGregor is definitely to blame for a lot of my love for him, but Alec Guinness was great too. *loves both*

Definitely; actually, the parallels between him and Naruto (and Kakashi and Sasuke) are one of the reasons I love him so much. And yeah, his death was so sudden and noble and gut-wrenching. ;_; I still get a little choked up when I go back and reread it.
