I just think it would add a really neat layer to Shamal's character, along with helping to explain how he ended up working for Gokudera's father (I like the idea of him promising Gokudera's mother before her death that he'd try to keep an eye on her son). But for some reason it's just one of those pairings that no one seems to go for. Alas. XD
