ITP I ship D69 and gripe about other people's griping.

So anyway, they were talking, and I can't remember any of the dialogue now, but basically Dino was being his usual charming Dino self, and Mukuro was being his usual polite semi-dickish self. But Mukuro seemed almost fond of Dino after a while, which I suppose is only natural in a way, since Dino is pretty much an older, more confident version of Tsuna, and Tsuna's the one who Jesused Mukuro way back when. And Mukuro was slowly becoming slightly less dickish and slightly more honest, and from my position sitting back and observing all of this as the dreamer, I was all, "Hey, not bad Dino, I think he's actually starting to trust you a little." And it was sort of sweet in a way.
Then like out of nowhere, Dino reached out a hand and grabbed Mukuro's neck. ...Yeah. I think he was trying to make a point about trust or vulnerability or something? Like, it made sense at the time, but now that dream-logic is no longer in effect I really can't explain why the fuck he did it. HE JUST RANDOMLY GOT HIM IN A CHOKEHOLD. XD And whatever the reason, Mukuro sure didn't like it. He got pissed--I don't even know if I've ever seen him that pissed in canon--and gave Dino this terrifying death glare, and then basically Tsukuyomied the shit out of him.
And then Dino got better, and like a winner, he went and found Mukuro again, who even knows why. AND MUKURO WAS STILL PISSED but as the conversation wore on, he sort of loosened up again like before, because, again, we're talking about a Mafiajesus here. And the conversation totally didn't even go anywhere; it was basically just them talking about this and that and this, and their behavior didn't ever really change; Dino was still Dino and Mukuro was still Mukuro. AND YET, in spite of all this, I totally got the vibe that Mukuro was really warming up to Dino in his own way, and considering how pissed he'd been at the attempted... strangling??... that was saying something. SO THEY ENDED UP BECOMING FRIENDS, I GUESS... I don't know, I woke up.
So TL;DR, I think I now ship D69, lololol. Considering I almost never remember my dreams, I am now forced to wonder how many other cracky ones I've had like this. WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE MY SUBCONSCIOUS IS SHIPPING. I BET THE WALL IS CHEATING ON YAMAMOTO.
2. You know, it's not like I've been thrilled with the GOP lately as it is (especially with all of the ongoing health care BS), but this is really sinking to a new level of ridiculousness. "OH MY GOD THE PRESIDENT'S TELLING CHILDREN TO STAY IN SCHOOL AND WORK HARD--SOMEBODY STOP HIM!!" Frankly, this is completely baffling to me. There is nothing insidious about telling kids to study hard and try their best in school. Yet inexplicably, pretty much the unanimous GOP response is "OMG SOCIALISM!!1" Some of the people in the comments section for that article are even talking about keeping their children home from school tomorrow. Good idea, keep your kid at home on the first day of school just so her impressionable young mind isn't warped by the evil President's agenda. BRILLIANT.
The text of the speech has been released (PDF is here), and it's actually pretty good as far as these things go. Anyway, sorry; I don't usually rant about political things in this journal, but that's really been eating away at my patience for the last couple of days. THIS IS WHY STEWART AND COLBERT NEED TO COME OFF OF HIATUS ALREADY. I need people to make fun of this stuff so that I don't go insane. XD
3. HAPPY LABOR DAY, ALL. I'M GOING TO GO TO THE PARK WITH MY BABY SIS AND PLAY ON THE SWINGS LIKE THE SIX-YEAR-OLD I AM.

Ahahahah oh god this whole thing about the president's speech to students is so stupid. I read news saying parents claim it's going to brainwash kids. But HOLY CRAP USA. IT'S A SPEECH ABOUT TRYING IN SCHOOL. WOW. Do you know the drop out rate in some places?!
It doesn't matter for schools in my city because they are not starting on Tuesday and the two colleges here are known for media and communications so it's likely it'd be broadcast. ||D;
Oh god yesssss this is golden for Stewart and Colbert to mock ;___; Do want

I KNOW. Of all the things to make a fuss about, why this? AUTHORITY FIGURES HAVE BEEN ENCOURAGING KIDS TO WORK HARD IN SCHOOL SINCE THE DAWN OF THE AGES. Or just about, anyway. :P Just because it's Obama does not mean your child will go to school, watch the speech, and come back asking, "Mommy... what's socialism? D:"
BAWWW WHY DO THESE THINGS ALWAYS HAPPEN WHEN TDS AND TCR ARE ON VACATION. :(

I facepalm at the people who are threatening to keep their children home. It's just...wow. <_<
no subject
Yeah, really. It's getting out-and-out childish by this point. I have to wonder if these people are planning on shutting their eyes and covering their ears every time someone mentions Obama for the next three and a half years. (Or seven and a half, depending.) There's a huge difference between legitimately disagreement with the current administration's policies and... well, this. :/

(lol. Once I dreamed Present Day!Tsuna had to marry TYL!Gokudera. Thus, I began shipping 5927 lmao)
And I DON'T UNDERSTAND OUR COUNTRY'S LOGIC, ANYMORE. THEY WANT OUR CHILDREN TO FAIL IN SCHOOL WAT I DON'T EVEN--
I really wish everyone would give the President a break :[

BELIEVE ME, IT IS. But like all Reborn pairings, I'm sure that someone, somewhere has porn of it.
LOL, I love hearing about other people's cracky shipping dreams. No one's gotten married yet in any of mine as far as I know, but the future is wide open. XD
THEY DON'T WANT OUR CHILDREN TO FAIL IN SCHOOL, THEY JUST CAN'T COMPREHEND THE FACT THAT MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, OUR PRESIDENT DOESN'T WANT THEM TO FAIL EITHER. WHAT REASON COULD OBAMA POSSIBLY HAVE FOR SPEAKING TO SCHOOLKIDS OTHER THAN TO BRAINWASH THEM. Sigh.

THERE IS. BUT I'M NOT SURE IF I CAN DIG IT UP AGAIN. /wrist

I squeed irl OTL
AND THE FACT THAT YOU HAD ITKINDA MAKES MY DAY 8DDDDD@_@;;;; A PARTISAN POLITICAL AGENDA. AHAHA /headesk
It's probably best that Obama talks about what's wrong with our country and how we can fix it -- it is really flawed...I mean even the icky quote "the greatest country on Earth" is relative, right? :| Geez, people.
I've been trying to watch Jimmy Kimmel for stuff like that but he's so :|||. Like...blergh /changes channel.
XD SWING WITH YOUR DYING WILL
OR HAVE YOU ALREADY
Re: I squeed irl OTL
It absolutely is a good thing that we have a President who actually gives a damn about the state of education in America, and who'll take the time to do this. I love that he's directly addressing the kids in his speech. I think it's really cool. I just hate that every time he tries to do something like this, he gets jumped on. From the response you would think the message in the speech consisted of "Down with capitalism! Tell your parents to support a public option for national health care! And remember--when you turn eighteen, vote Democrat!" When in reality, all he's telling kids is to work hard and strive to do their very best. IF THAT'S PUSHING AN AGENDA, IT'S AN AGENDA WE FUCKING SHOULD BE TRYING TO PUSH.
And yeah, I'm not huge on Kimmel either, although I do enjoy his unnecessary censorship bits. XD
I DID! IT WAS GLORIOUS. Except the park was so damn crowded, so I could only swing for about two minutes before guilt overwhelmed me and I relinquished my seat to some kid with puppy eyes. XDD
Re: I squeed irl OTL
HAHA THIS XD he's being watched so closely...idk, I remember whenever Bush had a foot in mouth moment people just wrote him off as an idiot. Whenever Obama says anything that could be interpreted another way (and sometimes NOT EVEN) people call him THE ENEMY WHO IS PROBABLY COMMUNIST OMG. >.>;;; PEOPLE SHUT UP
oh, yeah, the unnecessary censorship is funny. I forgot that happened on his show. XD
Awww XD oh well, at least it was glorious while it lasted XDD and I imagine your sister had tons of fun?

WORD TO THIS. Yay for double standards. SIGH.
This one is my personal favorite. YOU TELL THAT BABY, ELMO.
Heh, yes. And yeah, she loves the place. Mostly the slide, though. She basically just found the biggest slide in the park, then proceeded to climb up and slide down about fifty times. XD
whoops I hope it's ok this time
creepy, really long but Chrooome ;w; I actually liked her here, I LIKED THIS ONE
Ahhh, they are all by the same person because it's all I can remember for now XD
THE EVENTS IN YOUR DREAM MAKE ME WANNA WRITE D69, ACTUALLY ;_;
AHAHA ELMO YOU SO BADASS XDD I remember one where the count was counting f***s (Five f***s! Ah-ha-hahaha-ha!) BUT I CAN'T FIND IT /SOBBBB
XD HAHA even if you don't show them little kids ALWAYS have to try to climb up a slide.
SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY ORZ
And the middle one was OH SO LONG but so good, w-wow. I agree about Chrome; she kind of reminds me of River from Firefly in that fic. And Mukuro is so deviously IC and so determined to get under Dino's skin, and their interaction is so awesome. FUCK I THINK I REALLY DO SHIP THIS.
I think I remember that one with the Count too, but I couldn't find it when I looked either. ALAS. I did find this one with Cookie Monster that cracks me the fuck up, though. XD
Haha, yeah. It's like a requirement of childhood.

P.S. Wall will have its way with anyone.
As for Obama's speech. The parents are being downright stupid. I work with middle school kids and I really feel that Obama's speech is exactly what they need to hear.
Thanks to your link I was able to read through it and it really was a nice speech. People really need to get their heads out of their asses and open their eyes for the first time. And Colbert and Stewart need to come back NAO!
I want to play on the swings.....

LOL, agreed. While Yama may hold a special place in its heart, somehow I doubt that it's all that choosy.
I know! Having someone talk to kids about the importance of education is never a bad thing, especially when said person is someone kids might actually listen to and respect. I mean, he's the President; he's got all that authority, all that potential to change the world for good; he might as well use it. At worst, he's ignored by everyone who watches the speech; at best, a few kids actually take that message to heart, which would be a wonderful, wonderful thing. But aside from those two outcomes, there's really nothing else to it. They're making a huge deal out of nothing.
JON AND STEPHEN I MISS YOU GUYS PLEASE COME BACK AND MOCK THINGS.
Lol, it's not quite as much fun when you're not a kid anymore... but it's still fun enough. |D

Your dreams are epic hilarity. I've only had one dream that involved Reborn, and that involved me climbing to the top of a tower, opening the doors to it and finding Byakuran playing piano inside of it. Byakuran got up and walked over and pushed me back off the tower.
But your dreams are cooler! LOLmafiajesus wot.
no subject
LOL, wow, I've gotta disagree here--your dreams are way more epic than mine. That Byakuran sounds like Ganondorf at the end of Ocarina of Time. XD PLAYING THE PIANO AT THE TOP OF A TOWER AND THEN ATTACKING ANYONE WHO COMES UP TO SAY HI. Even in other people's dreams he's a dick. XDDD
no subject
O-OMG. THAT'S SO TRUE. *just finished OOT recently* He's a total dick! Though I have to say, he played the piano rather nicely, not that I got to hear it for long. I wonder how he learned? Lol, he probably was a musical genius in some other universe.
HE STOLE IRIE'S MUSICIAN DREAM, OBVIOUSLY. Poor Irie.
no subject
Haha, yeah, there was probably a universe where he was taught by Zombie Mozart or something. THERE'S A UNIVERSE FOR EVERYTHING.
