Oho!

Well, well, well! Guess what popular Shounen Jump manga managed to get itself scanlated and then posted up at One Manga before the holy shounen trinity of Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach this week? I'll give you a hint--it's the same manga that's been ranked number 7 at OM for the past month. 8D

And I'll give you another hint: IT'S KHR. But you already knew that, I just wanted to point it out again because it makes me happy. BECAUSE DON'T WE ALL KNOW THIS IS TOTALLY A COMPETITION.

1. We got color pages again this week! So again I am going to share my insights into them.

REGARDING THE FIRST PIC:

TYL!LAMBO! My God, it's been too long. COME BACK TO US.
Ryohei looks a little... evil. I, uh... what??
I'm not sure who that guy in the gray hair and glasses is, but I'm fairly sure it's not Gokudera. His chin is far too pointy (YOU'LL PUT YOUR EYE OUT, KID), and he was never that megane. WAS HE?
Why the hell is Tsuna wearing a bandage over his jacket sleeve? Oh, right, because it looks cool.
I'm pretty sure Chrome's legs are too spindly to support her body. BUT SHE'S WEARING HEELS. And they look so cute, aww. XD

REGARDING THE SECOND PIC:

Everyone looks hotter in this one than the first one. Except for Tsuna, who, incredibly, looks exactly the same.
Seriously, Gokudera and Yamamoto are looking so hot I don't really have words. OH, YOU TWO. And Mukuro also.
Lambo looks sooo happy with his umbrella that I just keep cracking up.

2. Okay, on this page I know Romario's supposed to be looking... nervous... or something, but I swear it looks more like he's just laughing. Which is the logical reaction to seeing Hibari whip out a pair of handcuffs, really.

3. Watching the fight that ensues over the next few pages is an interesting experience, because on the one hand, Hibari is really effing pretty, but on the other hand, Daisy looks like a mutant fish-person-thing. Possibly because THAT'S WHAT HE FUCKING IS. So I can really only bring myself to focus on approximately half of the panels. I'm not even sure how I managed to coherently follow this fight. XD

4. This page, for example, is just relentlessly disgusting. SEVERED LIMBS, RESPAWNING LIZARD ARMS, AND THE DESTRUCTION OF HIBARI'S FACE. It's all so painful to look at. ;_; (Page 8, later on, is even more gross.)

5. I can't help but take this as proof that Dino has wasted a lot of time on Wikipedia. Or reading comic books (you know how he loves that Spider-Man). Either way.

Also, that is the ickiest ability ever, regardless of the fact that it's also really useful.

6. The more I see Hibari's box weapon in action, the more I can't help but think the first Cloud Guardian must have been some sort of epic pervert.

"What... does he intend to do?" Exactly.

7. OH MY GOD

I was sort of expecting this after the cuffs started multiplying, but seeing them in action--just--I DON'T EVEN--!!

THIS MAY BE THE MOST HILARIOUS PANEL AMANO HAS EVER DRAWN. And this is coming from someone who thinks that half the manga is hilarious in some way or other. But this so takes the cake, in ways I can't even begin to describe.

I just keep looking at Daisy's face and losing it. XDDDDDDDDD Ahaha what the hell.

8. Fuck yeah, Hibari just killed himself his first Funeral Wreath. FINALLY WE GOT ONE. Look how happy everyone is. |D

RIP Daisy. I'll always remember how your last word was, "Boh."

9. Why is it that just when we were finally learning the truth about all of this arc's weird little mysteries, Amano has to go and hit us with brand new ones? Who the hell are you, Kawahira? I love him and all, but the guy is still way more of a question mark than he has any business being considering that he's on our side (or at least he seems to be).

10. Oh, sweet, Byakuran's power in action. :O Not quite how I imagined it working, but I'm not surprised, either; if it had really been a constant I-can't-turn-this-damn-thing-off thing, he really would have lost his mind a long time ago. I'm surprised at Kikyo's remark that he hadn't done the meditation recently, though. But I guess it's probably more than a bit overwhelming.

Damned if it doesn't get results, though. Ohhhhh shit, I think we're in trouble.

AND STILL MORE COLOR PAGES NEXT WEEK? We're being spoiled here. I love it. |D

Ryohei looks so QUALITY in the first picture lmao...but Lambo in the second picture makes up for it because he looks too adorable XD I always love Amano's color spreads, too.

I don't know why I giggled a little at Hibari getting punched in the face...And that bit about him arresting Daisy--I don't even...AND WTF AT THE HANDCUFFS, SERIOUSLY. I agree with the thought of the original Cloud guardian being a total perv. Handcuffs. With spikes. Seriously. A lot of fic writers are going to have a field day with this XD

AND I LIKED DAISY BETTER WHEN I THOUGHT HE WAS UNDEAD INSTEAD OF BEING SOME WEIRD, REGENERATING GECKO THING.

I lovelovelove Lambo's face in that second pic. He reminds me of Christopher Robin walking around going "Tut tut, it looks like rain!" XD

It is kind of funny to see Hibari get punched. I mean, I hate to see it, but on the other hand, it was admittedly just a little satisfying. He's such a godmode that it doesn't happen too often. :P AND HIM TELLING DAISY HE WAS GOING TO ARREST HIM WAS JUST... WOW, AMANO. WOW. Maybe he has more in common with Cloudy the First than he'd like us to think. XD

I, too, preferred him as a zombie rather than the Swamp Thing.

1. Gokudera in that second picture cracked me up, because he was lifting his kimono-thingy up all dainty-like and I was all: XD
Yama = sexay, as per usual. :)

I cracked up pretty much this entire chapter. I mean, come on: handcuffs. REALLY?!

There's a reason why I say KHR is crack-filled and fueled.

He's all like, "Yeah, you like that?" XD But I'll admit I was paying more attention to his disdainful "I'm just gonna stand here in the wind and look attractive" face. And on second glance, I can't help but think Yamamoto totally looks like he is checking Gokudera out. IF YOU FOLLOW HIS LINE OF SIGHT... yeah. SUSPICIOUS.

I know this chapter was going to be hilarious as soon as we saw Hibari's box weapon last week. But nothing, absolutely nothing could have prepared me for Daisy being wrapped from head to toe in inner-tube-sized handcuffs with his eyes bugging out. XDDD

BECAUSE IT TOTALLY IS.

Dino being all sportcaster is funny XD it's what he always becomes during these kinds of things, and I love how smug he looks when Hibari busted out the handcuffs XD AND OH MY GOD HIBARIIIII ASFLKHSDAG FUCKING HOT ACKKKKKKK *A*

It's close enough that I wonder if Amano cheated and traced the same image twice. Maybe she was short on time or something. XD

It's definitely entertaining to watch Dino narrate his protege's fight. You can tell he's almost enjoying it more than he should be. >_>

AND HIS FACE. HIS FACE. I still crack up every time I look at it. I've tried clicking on it at random and attempting to hold the laughter in, but I have failed miserably every time. IT'S GENIUS.

I LOLED AT THAT TOO. Interesting choice of words there. GOKUDERA KNOWS HOW TO PUT A METAPHOR TOGETHER. I bet Yama was all, "Yeah, I sure know what that's like."

I was surprised he left at all. WHERE IS HE GOING I WANT TO KNOOOOOOW. And yeah, the meditation was weird (were those wings??) but cool.

I recall that Gokudera has worn glasses a couple times in the manga and in the anime but omfg hoooooooot. WAH I LOVE CHROME ;___;

Yeah, he's worn glasses before, he's just never looked like that. I think it's the eyes and the pointy, pointy chin. Hot, but not quite Gokudera-ish. I dunno. XD

And Chrome looks so cute there. <3

True, true, there's definitely something odd about the hair as well. It's very... swooshy. I mean... well, you know what I mean. XD

Yeah, I like that Amano put her in the first pic and Mukuro in the second. It was a good compromise. I LIKE THIS SYSTEM, and not just because it requires two color pages for the price of one. :P

HAIR DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THAT NATURALLY. It definitely contributed to the overall "not quite right" feeling. Although I will say the hair is still my favorite thing about that pic of him. XD

One is good, but two is always better. :D

I'm just really really wondering why the hell Gokudera decided to show off his leg by lifting up his ~~skirt~~ kimono. I mean, WAT. ~~And can he get any more girly-looking/beautiful? This is really getting ridiculous, Amano!~~ I'm standing by my earlier statement about how Gokudera is turning into a woman, and that that is why he never seems to be able to do shit nowadays.

One thing doesn't make sense about the colour spreads though. Why is the Italian Mukuro on the Japanese spread and the Japanese Chrome on the Italian?

The handcuffs... they're... special. I don't think there is anything else to say about them. xD ~~Except maybe that they're kinky, a bit messed up and really paints the first Cloud Guardian as a humongous pervert.~~

That panel with Daisy in a full body restraint thing is hilarious. His fish feet that sticks out at the bottom especially.

Byakuran's power in action made me laugh. I thought it looked like he hatched from an egg, and that is all kinds of ridiculous. xD

MAYBE HE JUST WANTED TO SCRATCH HIS LEG. YOU KNOW HOW ITCHY THOSE YUKATAS CAN BE. But I really don't think it's his fault he's been so useless lately; if you think about it, no one's really been successful against the Funeral Wreaths until now. Tsuna barely fought Torikabuto to a draw, Squalo... let's not think about Squalo ;_;... and while it's true that Yamamoto beat Genkishi, Genkishi was kind of a failure by that point anyway. When we finally get to the FW rematches, I bet you Gokudera will kick ass again. I'M KEEPING THE FAITH.

I think Chrome's just on the Italian page because she looks hotter in that skirt than she'd have looked in a kimono.

Regardless of the fact that Hibari not only kicked ass with them, but actually scored the first FW kill to date, the handcuffs really undermine my ability to take him seriously. XD

The two colour pages = <3 I clicked the next button and it was like Christmas all over again! I ADORE Lambo's fringe boots in the Italian picture - I want them! (And I love how Gokudera is pulling his clothes up in the second - and the face that Yamamoto is TOTALLY having a perv.)

6. I'm pretty sure that Hibari now belongs to a yaoi police officer manga. I could just SEE Dino off to the side begging, "Arrest me next, Kyouya! <3 "

Yamamoto's <_< perviness in the second pic is so awesome; he's not even being subtle about it, lol. That might be my favorite part of that pic, even more than Gokudera's "GET A LOAD OF THIS." XD (Why is he always stripping in these things?) Yeah, I think that was confirmed as soon as the handcuffs came out. I'VE ALWAYS WONDERED ABOUT YOU, HIBARI. And now we know. It was Reborn saying it, I think (especially since he was the one who also whipped the gun out and everything). It makes me wonder, because usually Reborn's instincts about people are pretty on the mark. I forget, but didn't he even have suspicions about Shouichi before he was revealed as a good guy?
