Reborn 193 spoiler rambles
As a side note, after today I'll be out of town for about a week (going to Florida \o/), so just a heads up. ...if anyone cares XDDD
La la la, spoilers are out at Mangahelpers (the pics were posted here on the comm, and the translated spoilers are here and here).
1. Okay, God knows why this is the first question on my mind, but. Is it just me, or is Dera wearing a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT outfit? He's got a vest, tie, and button-down shirt (and gloves, was he wearing those?) out of nowhere. As far as I recall, he never wore that during training (that we saw), and he's sure as hell not wearing it now, so. FLASHBACK? MAGIC CLOTHES-CHANGING BOX?! Whatever. At least it's hot. And Uri's sitting there on his shoulder AS IF THEY WERE ACTUALLY A TEAM, lol what is this out of the blue you crazy cat.
ETA: AHA so it was actually the chapter cover. I SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED SHENANIGANS LIKE THIS.
2. Apparently Gokudera's super target-vision from the last chapter was the result of a box. While it would have been awesome if that had all been just him, I have decided that this is also very cool. (No wonder his eyes looked sopretty intense all of a sudden.) Talk about an ability that's suited for him; for someone that specializes in mid-range attacks, I can't think of anything more perfect. morphaileffect mentioned in her journal that it even fits his name, since the "haya" in Hayato means "peregrine falcon." HOW COOL IS THAT, seriously.)
3. Obviously I need to go back and reread some of the most recent chapters while PAYING MORE ATTENTION this time around, because I'm still wondering who the hell Uni is. XD Someone at MH had a theory that she might be Koenig (aka the last living member of the trio that created the boxes), though, which would be pretty cool. I'm assuming she must be someone of reasonable importance if her giving Gamma a box is such a big deal.
4. So apparently Tsuna's X Burner is being revised, and looking a lot more stable in this chapter. Heh, on the one hand, this is great for him, and on the other hand... not so good, considering Spanner said he'd kill him afterward. XD But at least we're getting some progress on his end, since he can only be stuck hiding out with the crazy rapist mechanic for so long. At any rate, can't wait to see the finished product (though I can't help but wonder if we'll have to wait until the end of the arc, since they need to save something for the grand finale).
5. I'm honestly having trouble thinking of what kind of box could stand up to Gokudera at this point, since. BEAST. But it looks like he's not out of the woods yet. All the same, Gokudera, you better not lose. XDDDD
Somehow, this dialogue from Kill Bill Vol. 1 comes to mind:
"You didn't think it was gonna be that easy, did you?"
"You know, for a second there, yeah, I kinda did."
