Thoughts on the KHR 196 spoiler script! :D
1. Wow, Byakuran, way to be even MORE OF A DICK than we all thought. OR SO IT SEEMS. Seriously, does this guy try to annihilate EVERY family that disagrees with him? At any rate, it sure sheds a lot more light on the rift between the Black and White Spells. No wonder they don't trust one another.
2. "Hey!! That's the necklace the Boss wore!"
Uh... WHAT? So are we to take it that Uni's mother was an Arcobaleno? INTERESTING. If that's the case, then why isn't she a baby in Gamma's flashbacks (not to mention the chapter itself, since she's only described as "a woman with a mark on her cheek)? In any case, I've got a feeling that "illness" that supposedly did her in had less to do with actually being sick, and more to do with a certain type of radiation, if you get my drift. P.S. Byakuran is a dick.
3. Haha, for a society that supposedly doesn't allow it (at least not according to Reborn when he talked about Gokudera's past in chapter 162), the mafia sure does have a lot of issues with their bosses having random illegitimate kids. And you know, no one really seemed to take issue with Xanxus (at least not until the Cradle Affair and all that), and now Uni doesn't seem to have been met with too much resistance either, at least not after she won Gamma over by being all sparkly. So what, Dera is the exception to all this somehow? Damn, your family sucks, kid. XD
4. "We didn't want the Gesso to invade us..... the condition was that if we could kill a certain swordsman.... they wouldn't touch us Girionello for 5 years...."
A SWORDSMAN YOU SAY??
Huh. So, we know for a fact that the Girionello and Gesso families didn't merge to form the Millefiore until some point after our Vongola's present. In other words, Gamma's flashback is actually taking place in the future, or at least Tsuna and co's future. This raises the very interesting possibility that this mysterious swordsman might be someone we know~ ...Actually, I'd say it's pretty damn likely, even.
Not to mention that if things keep moving along like this, there's a good chance that Yamamoto's fight will be next. If, as it sounds, the Phantom Knight has some history with Future!Yama, then things could get pretty interesting. |D
if it turns out to be, like, Squalo, I will hurt something. except not because I do love Squalo.
5. "you.....Vongola.... though you're scum, we share a likeness"
...did Gamma just pull a Naruto Villain and go Jesus'd on us. XDDD
Oi. Well, I guess it's kind of cool. The villains in the other two arcs mellowed out afterward too, so it was probably inevitable. OH WELL.
ETA: Wow, now that I've actually read it, there are a ton of parallels drawn between Gamma and Gokudera in this chapter. They even look similar in most of the flashback panels. And he seems to get on with the Phantom Knight similarly to how Gokudera gets along with Yamamoto (love the concerned "you moron!" when PK comes home injured XD).
Between that and the line on the last page, "Try and win us some more time; surely an ally family who thinks the same as us will appear!", it looks like they're hinting pretty strongly at an eventual Vongola/Black Spell alliance.
Feh, and they say Reborn has no plot. :P
