And you thought LOST was complicated.

1. I've typed the words "Byakuran is a dick" so many times they've practically lost all meaning... and yet, with a page like this, what else can I say? What really gets me is how loving/tender his expression is as he slowly chokes the life out of a teenage boy. Tsuna would later reminisce that he had never before experienced such an affectionate attempt to end his life.

2. I'm actually glad that when Tsuna experienced his moment of DETERMINATION!!!1/SECOND WIND!!1 Byakuran just loled and kept on doing this thing. Because if Tsuna turns the tides so easily after everything we've seen Byakuran do, I'll be extremely disappointed.

3. Okay, wait... just what the hell is going on here? Because this got confusing really fast--first Tsuna gets all gar, and then flames start spewing every which way, and Kikyou starts talking about exchanges, and people are cheering Tsuna on and yet Byakuran seems way too satisfied, which suggests that his efforts are useless, but then suddenly there's a giant sphere of energy around them both, and just... what?

AND THEN DINO AND SQUALO HAVE RIDICULOUS DERPY FACES (again I'm noticing a slight decline in the art quality here... what's going on with Amano's staff lately?), and Dino starts talking about layered flames and resonance, and a mile or so away Uni suddenly lights up like a Christmas tree. I'm now going to assume all my questions will be answered within the next few pages, but in the meantime, words cannot describe how utterly perplexed I am. IF THESE PAGES WERE SUPPOSED TO CONVEY ANY SORT OF LOGIC, THEY REALLY FAILED.

4. Ohhhhhh. So it's some kind of Sky 7^3 mojo. Thank you, Reborn. ...Wait, that still makes no sense. :|

5. ...and now Uni's just floating away. Can you imagine if you were standing next to someone and all of a sudden they started glowing and then just randomly took off into the air like some sort of balloon hoax? And then the tiny infant next to you randomly kicked the air and went, "NGH!" And then the nerd standing next to you suddenly started shrieking at the top of his lungs, "IT'S THE BOUNDARIES!!!!" as if that statement was supposed to make any kind of sense whatsoever?

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THIS CHAPTER.

6. This page kind of reminds me of The Wizard of Oz. Only instead of Dorothy and a tornado, we have Uni and a tornado. MADE OF FLAMES!!1 And about to touch down on two other flame tornadoes (and when the hell did that third one appear?).

More art fail on this page, this time with Levi, who is also suffering a logic fail, apparently. "What is that child thinking??" YES, OF COURSE, LEVI, BECAUSE SHE TOTALLY DID IT ON PURPOSE. THAT'S WHY SHE LOOKS SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU ALL. I suppose I can't blame him, though, if the situation from his perspective looks even half as insane as it does from mine.

7. Sob Yamamoto you freaking godmode you. I FORGOT HE HAD TAKEN TO FLYING AS OF LATE.

It's totally ineffective, OF COURSE, but still, I have to take a moment to admire the boldness of the attempt and the utter disregard for the laws of physics. SCREW PHYSICS.

8. Jesus Christ is he still strangling Tsuna?! Isn't it only supposed to be like three minutes tops before the average person loses consciousness? (Even sooner with the type of choke Byakuran has him in, which is really effective.) And only five minutes before we're not just talking consciousness, but brain death? I will accept that because Tsuna is a DYING WILL POWERED SUPERHERO he can struggle for a bit longer, but still, what are the odds that in the anime this scene ends up lasting for like twenty minutes, and he's still fine? Go join Yamamoto in the godmode corner, Tsuna. AND YET, if Byakuran just punched him in the stomach, I bet he would topple over like a Jenga tower.

9. Okay, I really have no idea why everyone's so surprised. We've known about Uni's kleptomania since way back in chapter 254. Keep up, people.

10. This, on the other hand...!

This totally lends support to the whole "THE ARCOBALENO REALLY ARE THE IMMORTAL GUARDIANS OF THE TRI-NI-SETTE" thing, which is AWESOMESAUCE. AND COLONNELLO IS BEING REVIVED, WHICH IS ALSO WIN. ;_; AND MAMMON!! BEL'S SO HAPPY TO SEE HIM. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING ON HIS HEAD. NEVER MIND, I DON'T EVEN CARE. ALTHOUGH I DO WONDER IF TYL!REBORN IS GOING TO BE REVIVED TOO, OR WHAT. HE'S KIND OF GETTING SCREWED OVER OTHERWISE.

AND LAL SAYS THAT WITH THE COMBINED POWER OF TSUNA AND THE ARCOBALENO, BYAKURAN'S DEFEAT MAY BE AT HAND!!!

TEMPORARY STATES OF DEATH is the most awesome thing I read out of all that. Meaning this is true even of the Reborn in that era, not the one who's currently talking.

Although, how can Reborn not know this personally, why is it he overheard this information? He just heard from Luce?

I did make out "TSUNA DA." in large font in that large bubble the first time. (Tsuna. Period. With absolute certainty.) I'm happy that the tutor thinks so much of his student.

The only thing that miffed me, although I understood it was needed, was how much people were shouting out what was happening.

But TYL!Reborn is still in time-stasis along with Tsuna, Kyoko, Haru and the guardians, so unless the recharging thing works even while he's out of phase with this universe, he's going to have to wait a little longer than them, I assume. But I didn't pick up on the "temporary death" thing before, so that at least is good news. :D

I do wonder sometimes how much the Arcobaleno actually understand about their curse and the 7^3. Lal seemed genuinely shocked in this chapter, and like you pointed out, Reborn said "I'd heard...", implying that he wasn't sure. And they all seemed surprised by the sky 7^3 resonating with each other, Uni included. But it's hard to tell, because they're all so tight-lipped about everything. XD

Makes me wonder what Tsuna's got up his sleeve for Reborn to be so certain about him. Unless it's just another one of those "HE'LL SUCCEED BECAUSE HE HAS DETERMINATION AND WANTS TO PROTECT HIS FRIENDS BLAH BLAH" things, but I hope not. I kind of expect more from Amano by this point.

I love that the deus ex machina isn't necessarily happening on the good guys' timeline. "HEY TSUNA, GOOD NEWS, THE CAVALRY IS COMING! ALSO, BAD NEWS; THEY'RE RUNNING A BIT LATE, SO FOR NOW YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN." It made things seem just a little more realistic, if immortal ghost toddlers popping out of glowing pacifiers can be considered realistic to begin with.

I hope Tsuna doesn't just jump back up and start kicking ass next week. It's no fun if the tide turns so easily and with what I can only assume would be a really half-assed explanation. :|

INDEED. The more a character is loved, the more they are maimed, mocked, and generally fooled around with. I like to think this means Gokudera is her favorite. XD

Somehow I can't picture Mukuro harboring much regret for killing Levi's hopes.

I did feel a sort of void left by the lack of his presence. What with how many stating-the-obvious reaction shots we got this chapter, the least Amano could have done was given us a wisecrack or two from good old Fran.

HE'S ALIVE~ I bet the first thing (s)he does upon revival is charge Fran some sort of outrageous fee for appropriating the title of Varia Mist Guardian, which (s)he probably had trademarked.

Aside from all of the soft core pron panels and plot holes and Byakuran, this chapter was pretty badass because OH MY GOD THE ARCOBALENO SLFKHSDLKHSDHLKH YES. YESSSSSS. I aww-ed so bad at Bel's and especially Lal's reaction shots sdgslakdh ;_________; But Reborn going, "TSUNA" the very last page is the most badass moment of all time. ~~OF ALL TIME.~~

This doesn't mean I understand why they resurrected all of a sudden, was it because Byakuran did that 7^3 thing? But then again, when/how the HELL did Byakuran do that anyways? Did he need to suck all of Tsuna's flame first? But isn't that trait only unique to Ghost?

I laughed so hard when Yamamoto TOOK THE SKY and tried to slice the ~EXPANDING SPHERES~. A+ for effort. But then again if Gokudera made comments on everything that didn't fit within the laws of physics, he'd be in every single panel.

THE ARCO REVELATION TOTALLY MADE MY DAY. The hilarious thing is, as abrupt and nonsensical as six dead babies spontaneously coming back to life is, it still made more sense than EVERY SINGLE OTHER THING IN THIS CHAPTER. And I agree about Bel and Lal's reactions, though for me it was actually Bel's that tugged more at my heartstrings, because he's, well, Bel, and it was so unexpected for him to have a reaction like that and let it slip that he was actually happy that Mammon wasn't dead. HE MISSED HIM AFTER ALL, BAWW. And Reborn's faith in Tsuna is definitely badass, though we've seen shades of it before.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE ARCO OR THE 7^3. As far as I could understand, once Uni gathered all the pacifiers together they started to regenerate all on their own, so they were doing that overnight, and it just so happened that by the time Uni floated over to Byakuran they were almost done, and so they popped out of their pacifiers, but they won't actually be done until an hour later, so it beats the hell out of me why they felt the need to make the reveal early. XD THAT WAS A LOVELY RUN-ON SENTENCE, BUT ANYWAY. And was Byakuran sucking Tsuna's flames? I really couldn't tell. XD

ISN'T THIS CHAPTER JUST THE GREATEST?

Gokudera has no room to talk, though, because he had his C.A.I. skull cannon out (you can just barely see the tip of it in his little panel), so I can only assume that if Yamamoto hadn't done something physics-defying and godmodey, he would have tried it himself. HE WON'T LOSE TO YOU, BASEBALL NUT. >(

IT'S ONE OF THOSE CHAPTERS WHERE YOU REALLY CAN'T SPAZ ABOUT IT ENOUGH.

ARCOBALENOS!!!1!1!! Although it's kind of a let down that Yamamoto has known about their "secret" for 100 chapters now, and the poor boy hasn't gotten the chance to spill it ;__;

Oh Amano, your plot just continues to boggle my mind 0__o And that art...I think your tag sums it up quite nicely, Makeste: "What is this, I don't even...?!?"

I still think he'll get his chance once the arc is finally over and no one cares anymore. XD Although my hope is that it'll turn out to be something awesome that might lead into the plot of the next arc, whatever that will be.

1- Byakuran isn't even a dick anymore. He's The Dick.

2, 3 & 4- It's really scary how he kinda goaded Tsuna into having a fighting spirit again just so the...sphere thingys....could appear. (And I was buying it too damn)

5- I LOVE REBORN LHKSLLKFLKG *DIES* It's amazing how this is really SUPPOSED to make sense but there's no possible way it can!

7- Yamamoto: "SCREW THE PHYSICS I HAVE GODMODE POWERS!"

8- Personally, I'm wondering how freaking (physically) strong Byakuran is, if the kid with the IRON GLOVES can't push him away. And why can't Tsuna just burn Byaku's arm away? (Unless he has DW flame retardant clothes which I would not put past him)

10- ...I had to take a minute there to crack up at Fon's braid and Verde's glasses coming out of the freaking pacifiers. What the hell?!
But YAAAAAAAY they're coming back 8D I almost cried seeing Bel's reaction alfsdlh he missed him ;_; And Lal too baww

11- FFF Who told Mr. Fairy Wings he can just brush aside the main character like that? He's the main character dude. That's just...no. 8|
...Lol which made me read the last page as Reborn saying "No bitch, I'M the freaking title character, I decide what happens to the main character. AND I SAY HE KICKS YOUR ASS."

Well, we shall see, we shall see.

2/3/4. Yeah. At least it explains why he didn't just go after Uni in the first place, though. DAMN YOU AND YOUR CUNNING PLANS, BYAKURAN.

5. I'm really looking forward to the day this eventually airs in the anime, because they've got one hell of a challenge in store making this comprehensible. XD

7. "I EAT PHYSICS FOR BREAKFAST."

8. Well, Byakuran is juiced up on the dying will energy of everyone in the vicinity, so much so that it's spewing out of him in fireworks/wings form, so I'm not too surprised that Tsuna's flames aren't having any effect. And Byakuran is a Sky type himself, so he may have some resistance to the burning effect of Tsuna's flames. IDK.

10. My favorite was Colonnello's bandanna popping out like flower petals or a bow tie or something. XD And Bel's reaction really caught me off-guard; I'm so not used to the Varia showing any sort of fondness for each other, and after their non-reactions to Squalo's not-death, seeing Bel visibly happy that Mammon was still alive made me awww more than a little.

11. I love the way Reborn just blandly starts dictating the course of the narrative. "No, the Arcobaleno won't defeat you, Tsuna will." HE'S SO DEADPAN AND TERRIFYING; even Byakuran can't keep up his :D face in the presence of that kind of confidence. Reborn just topped everyone in the manga with words. Hot damn.

It really makes next to no sense what so ever, and I'm still totally hoping for the bad end which then turns into a good ending because Byakuran manages to screw himself over when he tries to create a new world or whatever.

IT'S THE BOUNDARIIIIIIIIESSS. Teehee.

I'm still hoping for the bad end too. It's cool that Reborn has faith in Tsuna, and I can't help but want to see if Tsuna actually lives up to said faith (I still think it'd be total BS if he just popped back up and was somehow magically badass again, but Amano is so out there that I almost think she could pull it off with a crazy enough explanation; I want to believe that she's not as cliche as so many other shounen mangaka), but it'd just be so fitting if Byakuran did himself in. And the good guys win too often; just once I'd like them to continue the pattern of losing. It'd make whatever villain comes along afterward (assuming the series doesn't end after the Future Arc) that much more threatening, too; instead of "OMG we beat the strongest person in the world who had conquered all the universes, but this guy who has just come along is somehow EVEN STRONGER!", we'd get "Holy shit, if we couldn't even beat Byakuran how the hell are we going to stop this guy?" It would inspire much less forehead-smacking on the audience's part. :P

This idea would be so awesome. This is truly what I want to see. Something completely different from the standard shounen crap (alright, I like shounen, but still). It would keep things from turning into another Dragonball, because seriously, the main-characters ended up becoming stronger than their world's GODS unless I remember incorrectly. And that's just silly. :P

THE FLAMES OF THE SKY ARE CREATING A POWERFUL BOUNDARY LINE OMFG IDEK BUT I THINK THAT MEANS WE'RE DOOMED.

Heh, yeah; DBZ is the perfect example. It was just an endless cycle of main character powers up -> strong new villain appears -> main character powers up AGAIN -> EVEN STRONGER new villain appears -> main character just keeps on powering up to the point where this isn't even funny anymore -> AND YET, would you believe it, every new villain that shows up is somehow EVEN MORE POWERFUL. I really, really, really don't want KHR to end up like that. Once upon a time, this was just a story about a mafia family on crack, and if Tsuna ends up being some god-child who just flies around blowing up every damn thing, we won't ever have even the possibility of going back to that one day. :(
