Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Chapter 277.
In which, AWESOME.1. Cover! ;_; Oh wow, that brought forth a much bigger wave of nostalgia than I was expecting. The cover text saying "their relationship hasn't changed" may be accurate, but a hell of a lot else has changed, and this scene really makes me miss the Daily Life arc and those bygone days of casual homework violence.
Random note: Every so often I forget just how incredibly tiny Reborn is, and then Amano does me the favor of showing him holding what logic tells me must be a normal-sized pencil, but which in his hands looks like one of those giant novelty pencils that when you open it it's secretly a piggy bank or something. GOSH HE'S SMALL.
2. Oh yeah, and stuff was happening, I almost forgot. I see we have returned once again to the Byakuran SkyDome, where circumstances are as dire as ever.
I love Byakuran's reaction here, because he says exactly what I'm thinking. Seems to me like it would take more than a pep talk to win the day, but hey this is Reborn's method so who am I to judge.
3. HEY. DON'T THINK I DIDN'T NOTICE THAT GIANT EXCLAMATION POINT GO OFF NEXT TO YOUR HEAD, YAMAMOTO. And don't you dare try to pass it off as coincidence when Reborn just happens to be telling us things about the Arcobaleno. When this fight is over we are going to have a talk, dammit.
I also can't help but think it's a good thing Gamma was unconscious for this part, because the blunt announcement that Uni plans on sacrificing her life (!! D:) strikes me as something he might object to! Unlike...
4. Byakuran, who looks as happy as if he'd just won the gold medal at the Dick Olympics. (And with a reaction like that, he probably did.) "OMG UNI YOU'RE SACRIFICING YOUR LIFE? THAT'S SO AWESOME I'M GOING TO BE PERKIER AND CREEPIER THAN EVER TOWARD YOU NOW!" And he wonders why he never gets any Christmas cards.
5. "Haha I can't believe Tsunayoshi-kun really woke up from your reproachful encouragement, Reborn-kun." You know, granted, he's no Fran, but I like to think this jab was at least partially aimed at the fourth wall regardless. XD At any rate, I'm right there with you, Princess Fireworks. Come on, Amano, for once let's not do it shounen style. Oh, who am I kidding.
6. T-Tsuna... D: MY POOR BABY oh wow I can't remember the last time I wanted this badly to leap through the computer screen and give a character a hug.
7. Sob he's being so brave and resilient and for once it's not HDW!Tsuna who's being awesome and that makes it all the more awesome, AND YET. Part of me can't help but be like, "...what?" at his totally random speech. XDDD
--and now I feel really bad because FUCK. I LOLED. "DON'T WANNA. |D *KAPOW*" It's like this fight already happened and this is now the SNL spoof of it, which Byakuran is playing up for every single laugh possible like the evil ham he is. XD
8. AHHHH OMG WHAT HOLY SHIT. LANCIA'S RING!!!!1 THE SPOILER WAS REALLY TRUE OMG FOR SOME REASON I THOUGHT IT WAS FAKE BECAUSE IT SEEMED TO HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OTHER SPOILERS. BUT IT IS TRUE AND AMAZING!
Amano I love you so much. You and your uncanny ability to pick up and dust off long-forgotten plot points at the best (read: most random) times ever. |D
9. Aw, Tsuna. I was all ready to be extremely :| at this really boring, cliched and illogical comeback, but somehow, in spite of everything, you actually managed to sell it. Man, you know you're good when even your readers end up being Jesused.

3. I may very well be reading too much into it, but it just seemed really conspicuous to show a reaction like that from Yamamoto (and for once he had the reaction panel all to himself, too). I'm really hoping it's a sign that Amano hasn't forgotten that Yama owes us an Arco explanation.
And yeah, Gamma really isn't going to be a happy camper when he wakes up.
2. & 4. Yeah, he was pretty much beside himself with lulz this chapter. XD
7. I have to hand it to him, the kid is a born speech-giver. He should think about running for President.
Byakuran delighted me because he seems to take such joy from being an evil bastard. He absolutely is the Joker, and it cracks me up.

LOL, I didn't even notice that Hibari and Mukuro weren't even looking up. XD And Yama isn't looking at his ring OR the hologram-thingy; he's just kind of staring off into space at some OTHER odd thing, and because I can, I'm just going to assume he's staring at G's hologram because he likey. >_>
Lambo's reaction panel will never not be amazing.
HE IS INCREDIBLY SMOKING HOT, and he does seem to be on really
intimategood terms with Giotto. I think they were described as friends, weren't they? Anyway, it's interesting to see the difference in their relationship as opposed to Gokudera's relationship with Tsuna, I agree. (And I love Gokudera's expression too. XD)Haha, so many people have all of these different and yet plausible-sounding theories as to what the "shackles" are. |D I love seeing all these cool ideas tossed around. *really can't wait for the next chapter*
