I'M OKAY WHEN IT'S ONLY TWO WEEKS OF SNOW DURING DECEMBER, BUT WHEN IT'S MONTHS ON END WITH SUB-ZERO DEGREES, I JUST FEEL MISERABLE. I SEVERELY DISLIKE COLD WEATHER.
MAN I FEEL YA. By the time February rolls around I'm just completely sick of cold weather in general, so when we get piles of snow all of a sudden, I'm pretty :| about it all.
BTW: TREES AND POWER LINES? BAH! BAH, I TELL YOU! IN GOTHENBURG, ROOFS HAVE BEEN COLLAPSING UNDER THE WEIGHT OF THE SNOW! But yeah, I know how you feel. Surprise!Snow isn't fun.
IT SUCKS HEARING ABOUT IT. I THINK THERE WAS AN ARTICLE IN THE NEWSPAPER TODAY ABOUT SOME PEOPLE DYING BECAUSE OF THE SNOW, BUT I'M NOT SURE.
But I live in the north, where people are pale because of the lack of sun and dark skinned people tend to suffer from lack of vitamin D! (It's D you get from the sun, right?)
A few people died during the storm here; I think a couple of people were killed by falling tree branches, and then there were also some traffic deaths. But overall not as bad as it could have been, at least.
According to Google, yeah, it's Vitamin D. But still, far be it from me to question why people live anywhere. EXCEPT IN WINTER, when I question all things nature-related.
Okinawa is fucking gorgeous. Of course, to make up for its beautiful weather, it is apparently subject to the occasional random earthquake, but I guess no place is perfect. And only two people were even injured in their last quake, so it still seems better than over here. XD
