The end of an era.
We laughed, we cried, we facepalmed.1. AMANO STOP SHOVING UNI'S DEATH INTO OUR FACES, MY GOD YOU CAN'T JUST TRAUMATIZE US ALL BY KILLING HER OFF AND THEN GLEEFULLY MANIPULATE OUR EMOTIONS EVEN FURTHER BY SHOWING HER ON THE COVER ALL INNOCENT AND SMILING AND AT PEACE AND STUFF.
And by the way, what the hell is Gamma, chopped liver? Byakuran too, for that matter. I guess if you torture teenage kids and/or try to take over the world for lulz, you don't get to have pretty tribute covers. Though you know she'd totally draw one if it was Mukuro or Xanxus, because clearly there is a DOUBLE STANDARD going on here and it doesn't matter if you're formerly evil just so long as you are popular~. I SEE HOW IT IS.
2. Oh damn it I saw Shou's face and my heart went ;_;. And now I feel guilty because going into this chapter I was fully prepared to be very annoyed if we didn't see some sort of reaction from him at witnessing the death of his former best friend, but now that he is having said reaction, I am incredibly sad all of a sudden. But you know, in a good way. Because at least this part of Byakuran's death is being written properly.
And here, too. Now this is how you do reaction shots; we have the lovely contrast between Shou and Kikyou's faces of sadness and/or NOOOOOO, and Gokudera/Yamamoto/Ryohei/Basil's faces of HELL FUCKING YES, and also Dino and Mukuro's more subdued faces of we-are-also-pleased-at-this-turn-of-events-but-we're-mature-so-we-won't-start-jumping-up-and-down-or-anything. They look more like they're about ready to sit down for a cup of celebratory tea. Anyway, this is nice; I feel like Amano's getting back on track.
3. However, I am still a little annoyed that while Tsuna is openly distraught about the loss of Gamma and Uni (BUT AT LEAST HE REMEMBERED GAMMA), he doesn't seem the slightest bit shaken by the fact that he just killed a guy (a real guy, not some Torikabuto guy). Maybe it just hasn't sunk in yet. Or maybe he's too upset about Uni to care... but hell, you know what, this is Tsuna we're talking about; he should at least be a little traumatized after disintegrating another human being, no matter how much of a dick said human was. I can nitpick if I want to. :|
4. SURE, WE CARE FUCKALL ABOUT BYAKURAN, BUT KIKYOU, DON'T HURT KIKYOU! ...Well, no, I don't really want to see Kikyou kick the bucket either (even though I read SPOILERS so I know what is fated to be), so if they decide to start having conscience attacks now I'm not gonna stop them.
(I know that Tsuna is exhausted, and I can't blame him, given how much HP he obviously used up in that battle, but his sudden random lazy eye is still distracting. XD)
5. Oh, wow. Seriously? THERE IS A PARALLEL WORLD WHERE BLUEBELL WAS A RULER OF MEN? Check off another point in favor for a parallel universe arc at some point; I would really love to see this. XD
6. YAY, POST-MORTEM SYMPATHETIC FLASHBACKS. Now I can look back at these characters and feel sorry they are gone (oh Daisy, suddenly I actually miss you!). And I am going to take this as still further proof that Torikabuto just doesn't fucking count. YEAH, THAT GUY, WE'RE JUST GONNA IGNORE HIM. Sucks to be you, dude.

I thought I would crack up at this page (I did when I read the spoilers, um XD), but it's actually somewhat horrifying. Probably the context that did it. LOVING YOUR TIMING, XANXUS, REALLY.
And oh, Lussuria. Any excuse to take your shirt off.
8. FUCK. YEAH.
ARCOS IN DA HOUUUUUUUSE. "So many babies!" Oh God, okay, now I'm cracking up. XDDD I wonder if it is occurring to Kyoko and Haru that one of these guys took advantage of their maternal instincts in the past and let them bathe him and stuff. COLONNELLO YOU OLD PERV, IT'S SO GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN.
Awww, and there's yet another reaction panel section that's done well. Bel and Lal in particular made me smile. "Found you, Mammon." Hee, his little buddy is back.
9. RESET BUTTON GET. Yes, even though Byakuran took over all the worlds and killed all the people, it's okay. They got better.
But wait a sec... oh, fucking... come on Amano, even Yamapapa? I don't care how much Yama's face at that revelation tugged at my heartstrings, that's still fucking cheap. CONFIRMED: NO ONE DIES IN REBORN. EVER. Except apparently Byakuran and Uni and Gamma.
Heh, I just had a moment of self-awareness where I realized that I am really hard to satisfy these days. XD Would I really rather have had Tsuyoshi stay dead and Byakuran not, or at least have him be killed some other way? Probably yes, if I am honest with myself. Sob.
10. Verde's science talk is kinda turning me on somehow (mmm, exposition) and I want an icon of his face in the top panel so I can giggle at it all the time.
And apparently the Mare rings have all been sealed in TYE time, hmm. Do I smell a tri-ni-sette arc coming on? Guess we'll see.
Lastly, the words we've all been waiting for, at long last! LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF DODGE.
The Future Arc is finally over. Oh, wow. Just typing those words feels so surreal. :D
