...I will do... something. I don't even know what. But it will be REALLY IMMATURE and DISGRUNTLED and probably embarrassing.

Aside from that, I am in a fanfic conundrum! I signed up for khrminibang because HELL YEAH, but now as the first deadline approaches, I'm starting to have second thoughts. Because the one decent idea I had, I'm not sure if I can pull off (my inspiration is waning), and I don't want to use any of my other ideas because I'm afraid they'll all be retconned by the time the fics are posted in September (DAMN YOU SHOUICHI, YOU SCARRED ME FOR LIFE). And also it would take time away from working on the sequel to Down the Stairs, which is already way behind schedule because I lost the flashdrive that had the fic on it a couple months ago, and after weeks of searching I finally gave it up for lost and started over, only to finally find the flashdrive again just a couple days ago, which arrrrrrgggh. Rube Goldberg would be proud of the way my progress on this fic is going.

Anyway. So I have a few more days to decide if I'm going to stick with minibang or not, I guess. MAYBE NEW INSPIRATION WILL STRIKE ALL OF A SUDDEN; stranger things have happened.

In the meantime, nothing like using up the free time that should be devoted to fic by posting a meme, I always say! From tsunayoshi:

Last chapter came out already at Monday Russian time, that was quite a disappointment. So I'm all up for joing you for some ourageous and eccentric actions to mafifest our position towards the delayed release. I would suggest to wear pink tutus, white wigs and go piss on the central square, listening to french chanson, but it's kinda hard to do online, so I'm all opened to your suggestions ;)

QUITE A DISAPPOINTMENT INDEED. Should it come to that again, I'm not sure how to express my displeasure online other than like posting really obnoxiously (or like, using nothing but sparkle font or something), but hopefully we won't have to go down that path! 8|

I KNOW. Well, hopefully it worked out for the best in the end, because as soon as I found it again I sat down and wrote out two entire scenes out of sheer relief, lol. So I'm actually making progress on it again! But I think that may be the reason I've made so little progress on my minibang fic, whoops. XD Maybe I can only focus on one at a time.

The actual deadline is still a ways away, but the first 1k words are due on the 31st, and extension requests for that are due on the 24th, which is the deadline I'm actually focused on, because right now it's the most relevant one for me. DO I ASK FOR AN EXTENSION OR DO I JUST CALL IT QUITS BEFORE ANY ARTISTS GET INVOLVED AND IT GETS COMPLICATED... decisions, decisions. XD

But there won't be anything clogging up the comm for a while yet, so you're in luck there. And thanks! I've still got ten days to decide one way or the other, so I'll keep trying for now. :)

I did the one in 2008, but not the one in '09 (that was the first one on the khrminibang comm). Missed the sign-up deadline on that one. XD But my experience doing the other one was pretty fun, if a little stressful at times.

khrminibang is stressful. i belive i finished mine super late >.>;;; then my artist never finished the art ... ahahaha ah well. it was fun in its own way.

She's still around, I think, but her journal is highskyfighter now. And yeah, she was (well, is, presumably) awesome. I really loved the art she did for my story.

Yeeeeeah it is. XD And there's more pressure than usual to finish on time because you have someone waiting for your story to be finished so that they can do the art for it. OH THE STRESS. But at least everyone else is stressing out at the same time as you are, so you know you're not alone. And in the end it's worth it, assuming you succeed, anyway. XD
