Sometimes I wonder if Amano didn't write chapter 61 just as an apology for chapter 32. There's one scene in that one where Tsuna starts off by bitching about Gokudera's "scariness" and so forth the same as before, but this time on the following page he has a turnaround and calls him a friend and says that he doesn't want him to leave. I appreciated that. XD
because now, on top of a pulled out of the ass, full of holes explanation he’s the dude who’s been emoing his whole life over a misunderstanding.
I KNOOOOOW, oh god. If he really was loved, then why did his dad let his sister poison him for the lulz and then just let him up and run away at the tender age of eight? Why didn't he ever tell his son the truth about his mother? Why is it that he has to find all of this out from his sister, years and years later? This is really one of those instances where finding out the truth almost makes the situation worse than ever, because now on top of all that angst, he gets to be tortured by all these could-have-beens. Alas.
Every time I think of that scene I just want to pump my fist in the air and shout HELL YEAH over and over. So, so, so badass.
Yamamoto vs. Genkishi Redux was like the one redeeming thing about Choice (although like I said, I still think it could have been incorporated in some other way). Yamamoto was pretty much a goddamn superhero for the entirety of that fight. I love the panel you mentioned too, because he's so casually awesome it just kills me.
Didn't you know that's actually his middle name? TRUFAX. It was the best thing his parents ever did for him.
Yeah, I love how generally sane and chillaxed the Reborn fandom is. *hugs it*
This fandom has porn of a wall. 'Nuff said.
I'm still holding out for at least #5 to really happen in the manga. C'MON GOKUDADDY, EVERYONE ELSE IN THE MAFIA IS GOING TO BE THERE. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO. :(
