Sob would you just look at this KHR addict who can't even keep her April Fool's thing going for one day. XD SO YEAH, I AM STILL DOING THIS WEEK'S CHAPTER (like I could stay away from Adelheid), and the Retrospective KHR Theatre was sadly a one-time-only thing... FOR NOW. MAYBE. Or maybe not because actually it was kinda fun, hmm.

Anyway, chapter 284 beckons!

1. OH MY GOD it's a color page with the new guys and OH MY GOD they're all mostly so attractive and especially Adelheid (forget the boobs, look at those legs), but most of all OH MY GOD, KOUYOU'S LAST (first?? I don't know which order they put them in) NAME IS AOBA. As a Naruto fan, that brings back a zillion crack-filled memories and immediately makes Kouyou a strong bid for my ~~second~~ favorite new character even though Shitt P.'s standing right there behind him living it up. Not even two chapters in, and I am loving this arc, guys.

2. Aww, Reborn wants Tsuna to make new friends! And of course Tsuna is bitching about it the entire way. It wouldn't be Tsuna otherwise.

Speaking of new friends, it looks like Yamamoto got his wish. One of the new transfer students (IS HE SERIOUSLY TRYING TO PASS AS A MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT, christ what are they feeding kids these days) is interested in baseball! But you can pry the position of pitcher from Yama's cold dead hands, Kaoru. Just a warning. GO AHEAD AND TRY, THOUGH.

3. RYOHEI! |D And ~~Aoba~~ Kouyou! |D

...Okay, first Amano made the first-gen guardians clones of the tenth-gen kids, and now apparently she's doing it again, only this time they're personality clones. A HOTTER, MORE NOSTALGICALLY NAMED VERSION OF RYOHEI APPEARS?! What will this mean for our beloved Sun Guardian? And perhaps more importantly, does this mean that Shitt P. is the Gokudera equivalent of the group, because my God. MY GOD.

~~Ryohei, fair warning--if you start dissing Kouyou's name, I may have to reach through my screen somehow and hurt you.~~

4. And here we have a rare glimpse of what Reborn does in his alone time, which is apparently stalking Tsuna and all of his guardians, and making extremely obvious observations slowly out loud to himself. Suddenly he doesn't seem quite so intimidating. XD

5. Haha, I've been waiting for this. Julie happens to be my manga nametwin (at long last I finally have one T_T), so I have taken a special interest in him. Unfortunately though, we still don't know much about him aside from the fact that he is matched up with Chrome, apparently shops for groceries while wearing that hat unironically, and lives in fear of Adelheid kicking his ass.

I LIKE HIM.

6. And now the moment we've all been waiting for: round 2 of most epic match-up in history. 8D ADELHEID HAS OFFICIALLY MADE HIBARI GO "!" SO YOU KNOW SHE'S SERIOUS BUSINESS. She managed to out-intimidate Hibari and collect necessary signatures by force, omg. For some reason this kind of thing never won me over when Hibari did it but the instant Adelheid does it I am like putty in her hands! I AM SOME KIND OF HYPOCRITE.

7. ...even when Enma's sad and alone he creeps me out. XD There's something wrong with me.

And again he is pantsless! Though quite handy with a sewing needle, apparently. And he appears to have even won Tsuna's pity, which says quite a lot for how adorably pathetic he currently is.

8. --and he's right back to being creepy again, holy shit. XD And Tsuna, you say "the old me" like you didn't just have your ass handed to you by a couple of middle school bullies in the last chapter. Oh, you.

9. Tsuna's bugged-out eyes in this page crack me up. ~~Yes, I am deliberately trying to draw this out so I can have a full ten points this week.~~

10. And it appears Reborn has found something incriminating whilst doing research in... the attic, of all places. XD Well, who am I to question his methods? And who knows, maybe that attic has been in Tsuna's family for generations. Or the attic stuff, at the very least. So it's kind of plausible...? I guess it depends on what exactly he found, though.

Which I suppose we will learn next week. I LOOK FORWARD TO IT.

I guess manga nametwins are always kind of a rarity unless you happen to have a Japanese name. I was really surprised I actually got one (AND A GUY, seriously, I don't even know what the odds of that are). It's going to be kind of weird talking about him, though. XD

Yeah, now that all of the new characters have been introduced, I really want to know what's what. Who they really are, why they just happen to perfectly correspond with Tsuna and his guardians, why they all have red eyes (unless that's just a design thing, I dunno), etc. Can't wait for Reborn to shed some light on this.

But that's pretty neat that one of the new characters has your name~! ... My name is the current month we're in so it would be rare indeed for that to occur. And ffft, Amano certainly has an interesting naming method.

To be fair, I do have a hard-on for the Daily Life arc at times, so it's not really outside the realm of probability of something I might actually do. XD

I can't help but be amused by your reaction to Enma when the last two chapters have been "OMG LOOK HOW PATHETIC HE IS? DON'T YOU JUST WANT TO BE HIS FRIEND!?". At least he doesn't look nearly as evil as Byakuran.

And if Tsuna gets to be too much, he's not above laying down the tough love. His tutoring methods are pretty effective, in a way.

2. I love how, in Yamamoto's mind, it's like he never ever worries if people are good or bad or if they like him or not; as far as he's concerned, the only possible reason for someone to not be his friend is if they haven't met him yet. XD He adores the world, that kid.

And yeah. A lot of steroids.

3. I did kind of expect him to be a more scientisty nerdy type, just based on the fact that he vaguely resembled Verde ~~and Kawahira~~, so it's awesome that he's pretty much the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of that. Not that I would expect any less from a character named Aoba.

The idea of Gokudera/Shitt P. terrifies me, and yet I can't help but think it's a concept I'm going to have to get more and more accustomed to in the weeks to come. XD

4. He does have a talent for it. And I'm still loving the DL stuff, although I'm starting to want more plot now too. But it looks like we'll get some of that next week, so it's all good.

5. Katou's not actually in the middle school, is he? I know Reborn made a remark about "seven transfer students", but he also said "seven guardians" so he clearly can't count. XD And Julie was checking the time and all, "school's out already" so it didn't look like he was actually attending Namimori Jr. Cuz otherwise he really is old-looking ~~though still not nearly as old as Kaoru~~.

Yeah, she's either giving Ken a flea bath or heading to the public baths herself. ~~Either way it probably would have been worth watching. >_>~~

6. I think Hibari was too busy mentally undressing her with his eyes to do anything else. Fightsexual guy that he is. XD

7. I-I didn't even notice the E on his shirt (wow I fail at observation). That is very Tsunaish of him.

10. LOL, I actually thought the attic made him seem even more like a little kid, rummaging through his parents' old junk in hopes of finding long lost treasure or something else remotely cool. XD And it wouldn't surprise me if Namimori is where Giotto went after he retired; that town seems to have a hell of a lot of mafia connections, and they can't all just be hanging around because the candidate for Vongola Tenth happens to live there. CAN THEY?

And hopefully Reborn will shed some light on that soon, because I'm dying of suspense myself.

4- Yeah, it's been going reeeeeal slow for the past 2 chapters, but I'm sure it's gonna be an insane arc. I'm excited for this week 8D

5- I have a feeling they're like Kokuyo; they're part of a "neighboring middle school" and have uniforms and stuff, but I'm sure we'll never see a real school. Because Birds and the creepy twins couldn't have been middle schoolers either o.o

7- I bet Enma's mom picks out his clothes too.

10- Well the Vongola is powerful to have all the cool assassins wanting to stalk Tsuna, but really, Namimori's always been where it's at, yo. I always blamed the fact that it made it more convenient for Hibari to take place in any of the activities but that's too easy XD

Somehow, Reborn creeping about in the attic with this ginormous book reminded me of The Neverending Story. I was waiting for Falkor, the luckdragon to poke his head in. Reborn's reaction at that would have been interesting to see, though ROFL

God, I don't know if I should be amazed by or scared of Yamamoto's ability to buddy up to everyone O_O It's either a gift or a curse.

I was a little bit distracted back there when I noticed that Adelheid's boobs were bigger than her speech bubble...

I found this chapter rather... well, it doesn't really do much. Except start a bond between Tsuna and... uh... what's-his-face that will lead to some agonizing as they realize that they are mortal enemies and must kung-fu fight to the death. Oh no, woe is Tunaman.

What's-boobs'-name has obviously sparked Hibari's interest. I do wish to know how their "relationship" will develop. I hope for much collateral damage. Mmmm... collateral damage.

They are pretty slow-paced chapters, so far. It doesn't bug me as much, though, because the Daily Life stuff makes up for it. Tsuna making a failfriend, Reborn cosplaying for absolutely no reason, etc. It's like old-school Amano again, which is nice. ~~I do hope the plot gets moving soon, though.~~

Collateral damage would be nice, and more Hibari-specific-damage would be even nicer (yeah, I'm just out for his blood XD), but alas, so far we have neither. THANKS TO REBORN'S COCKBLOCKING. I hope (and expect) we haven't seen the last of their rivalry, though, because EPIC.

Actually Julie is not shopping for groceries. He was skipping classes and went to a pachinko place instead (bad boy! ~~Hibari~~ Adelheid will discipline him). Those bags he's carrying must be the prizes he won from the pachinko place... =D

...oh. I did not pick up on that at all, lol. But on second glance, it seems you're right; he does appear to be stepping out of a pachinko parlor. So I take this to mean that he is a school-skipping gambling delinquent, which so far makes me like him even more. :D
