"There's just no way Amano could ever top vegetables and old men," right? I KNOW BECAUSE I WAS THINKING IT TOO. But you know what? We were wrong.

And then he actually pauses to make that smug, smug face in the middle left panel, HAHA. JUST WHEN I THOUGHT HIS QUIRKS COULDN'T GET ANY MORE ADORABLE.

5. Daaaaaaamn, SHITT P HAS THE CONCENTRATION OF A THOUSAND YEAR OLD MOUNTAIN HERMIT. It takes serious zen skills to just sit there while some crazy guy shoves insects in your mouth. On a related note, this chapter seems determined to scar me for life!

GOD REBORN YOU'RE SO RACIST U.M.A.S HAVE FEELINGS TOO YOU KNOW. >( Of course, he's probably just talking smack because he loves fucking with Dera. And don't we all?

6. Wow, I'm already looking forward to future Shitt P chapters. You never know what the fuck is going on. |D AFTER HER, GOKUDERA! WE'LL HOLD DOWN THE FORT OVER HERE!

...okay what. What is this page I don't even. SOME HALF-ASSED ASSISTANT BETTER BE OUT OF A JOB FOR THIS.

Let's kidnap the Gokuderas from the "WHERE'S SHE GONE??" panel and the "I SAID!!" panel and force them to duel until we have a victor. And then that victor can battle Gowadera for the championship.

7. And so our hero bravely pursued the bouncing alien lady through the streets of the town and apparently through a public bathhouse, while the readers tried in vain to sort all of this out logically in their minds. Then, suddenly, as if pinged by the other boobs on this page (AND THERE WERE TOTALLY BOOBS YOU GUYS, WTF)...

ADELHEID APPEARED! And so the two hottest characters in the manga were suddenly pitted together in a showdown of hotness, and I'm sorry, I think I just died from a nosebleed. If Ganauche suddenly turns up, I'm screwed for certain.

Anyway, Adelheid decides to try her own hand at Jesusing Gokudera but frankly it's been done so many times by this point that it's really kind of trite by now. In any case, Gokudera smartly runs off halfway through her explanation because he has the attention span of a--squirrel!!1

8. Hmmm... signals, eh...?

BY JOVE, I THINK HE'S GOT IT.

This is the dramatic scene in this chapter, incidentally. THE TENSION, YOU CAN FEEL IT...! I'm on the edge of my seat oh my god.

And, uh. I have no other reactions for this page except that I fucking love this manga.

They even did that thing from fucking E.T. AHHHHH why is everything amazing?!

10. And just to round everything out, this chapter ends with a dude FUCKING EXPLODING.

Honestly, I'm hoping that Shitt P and Haru meet.

It would be the most epic of friendships!

Oh man, if both of Gokudera's girlfriends met and formed a hilarious bond of quirky friendship, I might very well just die from the win. *_*

Tsuna's new friend probably has something to do with that not-a-weather-pattern attribute, and Adelheid is its best protector. But it has to be kept in line and it's not easy. Still, I don't think Shimon is the enemy.

Then again, as some people have noted, Amano might be doing the reverse of what she did for Shouichi. ^^;;

I'm still waiting on the Shimon to betray them all. I'm still undecided as to whether or not they'll do it on purpose--Enma seems genuinely fond of Tsuna and the others seem attached to their counterparts as well--but if they're not, they sure are accidentally doing a wonderful job of sabotaging the next Vongola generation from the inside. While everyone else is attacking them out in the open, the Shimon are winning their trust, and all the while Enma can continue to subtly convince Tsuna to step down. Then when he finally does, THEY SWOOP IN AND TAKE IT ALL.

That, and from a strictly storytelling standpoint, it really makes no sense for Amano to introduce seven new protagonists who we'll eventually have to see fight, if they're not going to be fighting the established characters. Because then she'll have to introduce seven more antagonists for them, plus bad guys for Tsuna and all his friends too, and it would be the Future Arc all over again, PLEASE NO.

One thing I'm considering is a master puppeteer for the whole Shimon group. For the moment they're data-gathering, sincerely, and sincerely liking/respecting the kids they're paired with. When the time is right they'll be made to do things they don't want to do. That way they can indeed be the enemy and not give that vibe to even eagle-eyed Reborn. This setup would be turned into a set of mirror-nemesis fights, which will be hard to plan out, but wonderful if executed well.

Jinchuu arc in RK was scary in this way, a completely different way from Shishio's Kyoto arc. Shishio just did his take-over-his-known-world thing, but Kenshin came to stop it. Enishi, on the other hand, specifically targeted Kenshin, preparing for all his known techniques and attacking all he holds dear, so Kenshin was unnerved from the inside and outside, it took a LOT to get him back.

I'm suspecting the guy in the fish tank knows more than he's telling, but I'm just paranoid that way.

So there's some hidden Final Villain we don't know about yet? That could definitely be a possibility. Like you said, it would explain why they've come off as generally innocent so far (well, Adelheid has been a bit suspicious, but yeah).

Mukuro probably does know something; now if only he would actually cameo again so he could clue us in. XD

My god...the narrating his life comment made me laugh for a good five minutes straight. I'm pretty certain that he does do that.

And every so often he has to pause in the middle of the street to give a smug look.

One day, he will be walking to school with Tsuna and Yamamoto and will randomly stop for a SMUGLOOK and Tsuna will think he's finally gone off the deep end and Yama will try and raep him right then and there.

It's likely Amano-san is herself a geek, or she knows a few geeks. Because I know I'm a geek and I indeed do that thing Gokudera did once in a while, talking to myself out in the street.

IAWTC; I, uh, do that too.

It's like he knows he's in a manga! If he keeps practicing like this, he'll reach Fran levels of fourth-wall-breaking in no time. |D

AND ABSOLUTELY HE DOES. Even if no one on the street is there to appreciate, we readers will never fail to.

And yeah, one day he's just going to forget himself and Yamamoto will be like, "Oh. My God" and then all bets are off. XD

Shitt P is just so out there that I really wouldn't be surprised if one day she suddenly became a hundred feet tall and picked up Gokudera and put him in her inner tube to keep him safe and so this picture really did happen.

PEOPLE CAN FLY AND TAKE LAVA BATHS IN THIS MANGA, so I'm just going to go ahead and say that Adelheid's ability to walk around with that chest without sustaining injury is just another everyday KHR feat of craziness.

I had thought until that sunglasses panel that there was no way Shitt P could get any cooler. AND THEN WHOA SHE TOTALLY DID. Oh this manga. ♥

I'm totally shipping them too, but I kinda like their dynamic like this, with Shitt P constantly doing strange and wonderful things, and Gokudera constantly being awed and amazed by them. So adorable.

thanks for the heads up on this chapter! that ending really is promising. i don't think the mysterious female fighter is anyone from the shimon family, but even if i'm wrong there is so much potential for awesome.

Haha yeah, YST was actually my first real anime, I think. MY GATEWAY DRUG. I was like... 14 or 15...? And I was obsessed with it; I used to write terrible fanfic and do dumb Mary Sue RPing over at the message board at Theria's site (which I think is gone now... probably for the best XD). RYO WAS MY FAVORITE, AND I SHIPPED HIM WITH TOUMA SO FREAKING HARDCORE (and I was always annoyed because Touma constantly got paired up with other characters instead).

It's been like a million years since I've seen the series and I've forgotten like EVERYTHING, but I still have the OVAs on DVD somewhere, so maybe I'll give them a watch one of these days and we'll see how it goes. :D

Although the last page of this chapter suggests that the Giegue's scary faces are really just masks, whereas it was implied that the Kokuyou twins actually looked like that, so maybe there's no connection after all.
