Don't you realize you cannot possibly keep this up forever? That surely one day the strain of constantly outdoing yourself with every new color page will cause you to explode or something? Okay, this turned out so much better than the spoilers made it sound, thank goodness. For starters, opening the page with a gorgeous panel of Adelheid's legs: YES. YES. FINALLY SOMETHING OTHER THAN BOOBS.
And then Adelheid BITCHSLAPPING NAMETWIN'S PERVY HAND AWAY, o-omg. SHE'S BLUSHING, BUT IT'S NOT A "KYAAAA DOKIDOKI" BLUSH, IT IS A SUPREMELY TOPPY AND TSUNDERE BLUSH. SHE GAVE HIM AN ANGRY EXPOSITIONY LECTURE, and I'm just falling in love all over again, here.
5. Man, news travels fast on Shimon Island. You know, I have to admit that Julie's total indifference to the flashback lends a bit of credence to the theory that he's really Spade in disguise. He really doesn't give a fuck; if anything, he seems annoyed by it. Hmm.

The Vindice explain that the coin pouch was the first of the "seven keys", and then Gokudera and co. waste a page figuring out what their entire readership immediately deduced last week.
Then the Vindice disappear again and Lambo starts to cry because he's only a little kid for fuck's sake, and Gokudera has absolutely no sympathy, because he never does when he's too busy freaking out himself. So basically they're all one big bundle of shaken nerves, down to only the panickiest, jumpiest trio from their original seven, and THINGS ARE NOT LOOKING GOOD.

Gokudera was amazing in this chapter. It wasn't just that he knew how to handle Lambo, it's that he was willing to do so even though it probably goes against so many of his principles. XD TAKIN' A HIT FOR THE TEAM. His facial expressions throughout that page were hilarious, and the whole thing was just so sweet. ♥
I honestly have no idea what to expect from Lambo's fight; that's what I love about it. WILL HIS SEXY FUTURE SELVES MAKE A LONG OVERDUE APPEARANCE? And I always think that Gokudera owed Lambo that rescue in the Ring battles. Out of the guardians, only he and Tsuna seriously understood that it was not lol a funtimes sporting match when Levi jumped up and down on Lambo's tiny broken body, and Gokudera STILL didn't help him. Thank God Tsuna is remotely sane.

I think the ring battles in general were a kind of wake-up-call for Gokudera, and one of the nice parts was seeing him man up and take responsibility for Lambo.

And you have a point, but then again, Gokudera would have probably had a more difficult time breaking the MAFIA RULES than Tsuna did in that situation. Especially since it resulted in a forfeit of the match (at that point, he was still in the whole VICTORY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN PERSONAL SAFETY mindset, though that may not necessarily have applied to anyone other than himself). But still, yeah, he really did owe Lambo one for that. And all the other abuse. XD

This line is the single thing that redeems Julie's World Of No. Thank you. I mean, Lambo+Gokudera and Gokudera+actual good sense were great, but during the actual reading of the chapter all the awesome was diluted because I just kept thinking "Julie has not died graphically in a fire". I don't think it's possible for any four words to more accurately sum up the feeling of "..." I had during the first half-dozen or so pages of this chapter. I keep thinking to myself, "Surely there must be a reason why Amano is so brazenly trudging down a path of epic Do Not Want; surely she must realize most readers WILL NOT ENJOY THIS, unless she has completely parted ways with common sense." But part of me is not so certain of this at all, and it kind of scares me. XD

Two weeks after the fact, I still adore that scene so much. It basically sums up everything I love about Gokudera's character; he may bitch and complain till the cows come home, but when push comes to shove, he's still got your back, and with six types of candy to boot. XD
And you were right about Large being an earthbender, it looks like. Not a good match for someone with a lightning attribute. I've got a bad feeling about this too. I'm going to be reading the next few chapters with extreme trepidation. XD

Yeah, Yamamoto's constant disappearing act does get a little old after a while. It's like Amano doesn't think we can handle that much concentrated awesome for long periods of time. Maybe she's even right (or maybe she just can't handle writing him for too long at a time because he's such a goddamn deus ex machina), but still. I miss him. ;_; As for Julie, I'm more interested in his connection to Daemon Spade; that might help to explain his interest in Chrome.
And I agree that TYL!Lambo looks a lot cooler than he used to. I mean, back in the day he was still attractive, but he always looked kinda weak and derpy too. But he seems like he has more of a backbone this time around. I wonder if it's a side-effect of Tsuna and co. defeating Byakuran and changing the future, or if I'm just imagining things and next week we'll see him revert back to his old crybaby ways. Haha, I have a theory that the Julie/Adelheid dynamic is based off of the Mukuro/Hibari dynamic, and that it's just a Mist/Cloud thing. It makes me feel a little better about Adelheid letting him get away with his dickishness. XDI would kill a bitch for a Gokudera piggy back ride, I'm not even kidding. Well, actually I am. I just love him to pieces, that's all.

Actually I just kinda realised that if everything goes the way everything has so far in KHR, the final memory of what really happened will only appear AFTER Tsuna and Enma beat each other to a pulp and one of them is doomed to Vindice for life (probably Enma...or both, since it's proven that that's possible) and then by then it'll be too late and everything will start to suck real bad.
And what are the chances of Lambo winning this fight?

Yeah, the way I expect it to play out, the second-to-last memory that everyone receives will probably make it look like Enma was right all along, and Giotto really did betray the Shimon family. So then Enma will be more pissed off than ever going into the final battle, while Tsuna will be incredibly conflicted, wondering if he's been on the wrong side of this all along. And then after the fight is over (and Enma has probably won), they'll get the final memory that will reveal that it was all a misunderstanding and both the Vongola and the Shimon families were betrayed by a third party (most likely Daemon Spade). So then Tsuna and Enma will have to team up to fight off not only Spade, but the Vindice too, and lord knows who else. It'll be really angsty, but probably also really epic. At least, I hope so.

2. Julie and Adelheid seem to have a similar relationship to Mukuro and Hibari's. I think Mist types just really like trolling Cloud types. Makes me wonder if Spade used to piss off Alaude all the time back in the day.

(And next after that is Yamamoto's fight, which is when things will really get interesting, because I'm still wondering just how the heck they are going to manage that. XD)
