1. You guys, I have a sad confession to make. I have been staring at this picture for a while now, but I still... can't find Waldo. ;_;

Everyone looks so shocked at the fact that Hibari is kicking ass. Gokudera's all, "Wh...what was that just now?" like he's never even seen Hibari before. Thank God Reborn is there to say things like "DON'T LOSE YOUR HEAD OVER SOMETHING THAT MINOR." I think this is why he doesn't like sitting on Gokudera's shoulder.

-WHAT?! THERE ARE STILL 593 ADELHEIDS LEFT? And I only found 150! Man, that's so depressi--BOOBS!!

Say, Hibari and Hibird are looking really psychotic in that bottom left panel there.

3. Is... is Hibari getting character development?? I'm not asking hesitantly out of shock at this occurrence, I'm asking because it's Binktopia's translation and I honestly can't quite tell what he's trying to say here. "I DON'T GIVE IN BECAUSE I'M AWESOME." ...wait. Actually, I think that's exactly what he was saying.

He looks like Gaara in this shot. Damn, that is hot. I'm actually listening to the Inception soundtrack right now and Mombasa just came on right when I clicked to this page, and it's like, holy shit. THIS IS HIBARI, HEAR HIM ROOOOOOAR.

7. Well, that's interesting. This page introduces us to the highly terrifying notion that when Hibari normally fights, he is actually holding himself back.

ALSO! DICKFACE... I MEAN DAEMON SPADE ACTUALLY USED THE WORD REINCARNATION. THE REINCARNATION THEORY HAS BEEN CONFIRMED. CONFIRMATION THAT ALL THOSE "HEY ISN'T IT ODD THAT THIS CHILD HERE JUST HAPPENS TO LOOK AND BEHAVE EXACTLY LIKE THAT OTHER VONGOLA GUARDIAN WHO LIVED A HUNDRED-ODD YEARS EARLIER?" 8. Hibari sure has skinny little wrists for a harbinger of death. Don't you think? Idk, that just struck me all of a sudden.

Handcuffs are coming out! And as one would expect, this fight just got kink~ay. Ohhhhh my.

9. What the Jesus. For a second there when I clicked to this page I thought he was laughing, and I was like, "WHAT???!!!" But he was just yawning before killing more of the ice clones. I guess having sexy ice clone battles makes you sleepy?

And just how many more blizzardroid body parts are we going to get before we reach the end of this fight?

Well, hopefully the next chapter will be a bit more interesting once the real Adelheid please stands up. Not that this chapter didn't have its moments, but all in all it kinda slid closer to Ryohei v. Aoba territory than I'm really comfortable with.

Although! Reincarnations! Something we already knew, BUT HEY! It's still pretty cool.

(ETA: I'm too ~~flaky~~ tired to get to comment replies yet, but there have been a couple comments pointing out the logic problem of "how can Mukuro be Spade's reincarnation if Spade isn't dead?", and I just wanted to say that, well, reincarnation is when a person's soul gets reborn in a new body, right? And I just wanted to make a terrible joke here about WHATEVER GAVE YOU THE IMPRESSION THAT DAEMON SPADE HAS A SOUL, etc. etc.

Ahaha why are all the Shimon vs Vongola fights so hilarious? Ryohei and Aoba were all like, 'AWESOME BOXING RIVAL!!!', Lambo couldn't fit his hair inside his helmet and then there was fabulous vs fabulouser, and now Hibari is currently living his best dream ever: a neverending supply of practice dummies.

I - I'm not even sure if I want him to get actual character development, really; I must say I'm really enjoying his 'violence on legs' approach XD

Well, actually reincarnation would make me shit bricks. And it also confuses me a lot because if Mukuro is Daemon's reincarnation... why the fuck is he still around? In my language reincarnation is KIND OF "same soul in a different body and with no memories of the past"... Is he searching for 69's body to reincarnate? Also, theory: what if Hibari is the only one who KNOWS who he was in his past life and protects Namimori because it's the place in which Giotto&Co settled after they escaped from Italy? ~~Also, reincarnation makes some things more romantic~~.

The fight is kind of reaching the length of the "Ryohei vs Aoba" one but I guess a lot of people will enjoy it just because "it's Hibari". As for me, I'm craving for the fourth flashback like a boss. I also laughed my ass off google-translating a blog entry of a japanese fanartist I'm following... she's going crazy as much as I am, I wish I could understand her theories though. X°°°D

As for the reincarnation thing, I think what we're looking at here is an stable time loop. Demon Spade hasn't reincarnated yet, he's been locked/hidden somewhere bidding his time to strike back at the Vongolas. Tsuna& will kick his ass, and he'll die and reincarnate... but if reincarnation isn't linear, he might just well reincarnate in the past/future and go on reincarnating until he eventually becomes Mukuro. Who ironically enough hates what Demon Spade strove to turn the mafia into. Who'da thunk?

Or maybe this Demon Spade is just a collection of memories running on automatic but essencially souless.

The fanart site is this one *warning: shonen ai*, http://sidem225.web.fc2.com/diary.htm (this is the blog) and when I google translated the entry I could see she was asking herself questions about Cozart's death, and in the end she hoped... both him and Giotto were happy after death at least. I find it cute that lots of fans all over the world are asking themselves lots of questions, because this arc is extremely complex and interesting *and full of loveable characters*.

LOL, nice hypothesis, but in the end I was told by a japanese speaker the 'reincarnation' thingie is a kinda wrong translation, IEM with "second coming" went closer to the actual meaning. Looks like it was a metaphorical statement. So, we broke our brains for nothing. xD

Hibari telling Hibird he was in the way made me crack up. Here I was thinking that Hibari's so awesome he could do anything with both eyes closed, but A LITTLE BIRD'S HEAD IS BLOCKING HIS VIEW. Of course we readers all know that's a lie and Hibari just doesn't want his tiny yellow friend getting hurt.

Mukuro actually was the first character talking about reincarnation as well... I'm really, really confused and I don't know whether I want reincarnation to be literal or metaphorical.

Ah, this chapter. Normally Hibari fights don't really draw me in, but this one... it's something. Maybe it's the fact that the first page causes a million and one "Waldo" references, IDK. And pomps, again. And hedgehogs and handcuffs, IDK. <3

I get the feeling that it ~~already is~~ will be as long as Ryohei vs. Aoba, but I doubt we'll get as much complaining. Mostly because A) Hibari, B) Adelheid, and C) 500 ADELHEID CLONES. Like that could go wrong!

Regarding what Hibari says about his pride, I think IEM (...was it them? A different translation, anyways) had him saying something like he won't lose because Discipline is his pride, the logic being that "Discipline" isn't something he takes pride in but because it is the one thing he can't give up/live without. That translation makes a bit more sense to me, but this one is pretty epic, too. ANYTHING TO KILL MORE PEOPLE, really.

Aaaaand reincarnation, the one thing that has been speculated on since... uh, Varia? Very, very early TYL? It's always nice to get these hints/confirmations, BUT. It's Spade. And Spade sounding kind-of speculationy (the other version didn't outright mention reincarnation, just him wondering if there was a deeper connection). So, Alaude = a spy and head of CEDEF? HE WAS A BUSY MAN. BRB, picturing him doing CEDEF paperwork while having various targets handcuffed around his office barely conscious and occasionally thwacking him for bleeding on the carpet.

But as epic as this is: CAN WE GET TO NEXT PRIMO FLASHBACK? I don't want to see Cozart killed, and yet I do! It is very emotionally traumatizing. :( And if Spade did have something to do with Cozart's death, then wouldn't he not want Vendiche to be handing out memories like this? Wouldn't that ruin the whole "pitting Simon and Vongola against each other" plan, or is he expecting so much carnage before the grand reveal (!!!) that it won't matter?

I actually like Hibari's little speech about his pride better in the other translation. And they didn't mention reincarnation, either. But this chapter was still fucking awesome.

The title of this first of all is made of win. XD And then the comment about finding Waldo was also awesome. And you're totally right about it being scary that Hibari usually holds back. Sheesh. Alaude starting CEDEF is so cool and when you think about it makes perfect sense.

Oh, and that bit where Hibari explains his pride, I feel that IES's translation worked better, because the part that Tsuna takes out of it seems to make more sense to appeal to Tsuna.

Have you read the IEM version? It makes much more sense (especially Hibari's speech). But anyway... I know everybody is an Adelheid fan, and I like her, but I can't help it. My favorite part of this chapter was this:

I was actually like ??? when you mentioned reincarnations but then I realized that the one you linked had Spadey saying something like 'so the tenth generation is the reincarnation of the first family' but in the scanlation I read he said 'second coming' instead of 'reincarnation.' So I was just left with the impression that they would just be very similar and not exactly reincarnations. So idk, maybe it's just a translation thing? Or if there was a reincarnation theory then I suppose they are special because...I mean. They are Mukuro and Spadey. I swear she focuses all her energy and talents on making Hibari's, Mukuro's, Yamamoto's (and occassionally Tsuna's)fights cool. Of all the Shimon vs Vongola fights so far, Hibari's fight is the only one non-cringe worthy. She probably spent months thinking how to further awesomemize (self created word - Hibari's awesomeness knows no bounds)Hibari's fights, leaving little brain cells for the earlier 3 (Ryohei had the saddest fight ever; I was soooo scarred by Lambo's battle Genkishi lookalike amour *seriously*, and popping balloons doesn't seem to match up as a fight)

A side note for Hibari's fight: Glad that the handcuffs were made to good use. When his weapons first appeared in the previous arc, I was going "wtf"? This fight - thankfully- showed the hidden potential of the killer weapon - literally - the handcuff(s) really are.

About you ETA: Technically, isn't Chrome the Vongola Mist Guardian? XD Wouldn't that supposedly make her the reincarnation of Daemon Spade? Also, I've figured it out. I've got it. The reason he's such a huge dick is because his soul reincarnated without him. 8Db

Which, if I were to translate it with my, certainly not perfect, Japanese would be:

"Does this mean that not only Sawada Tsunayoshi, but his Guardians too, are the second coming of the Primo Family...?"

Something along those lines. Which, I guess, can be interpreted as reincarnation. My electronic dictionary only says "second coming", but according to this page it can apparently also mean reincarnation. But I would put my bets on "second coming" or "return" TBCH.

I noticed a space in the number "322", maybe that's the reason why it won't work, sorry >.< so both meanings are possible? I'm back to square one...

No, I wouldn't say that. Thinking about it and reading the examples in my electronic dictionary, I would definitely say second coming, not reincarnation.

Meaning that Deamon Spade is saying that the 10th generation is like the second coming of the 1st, not their reincarnation. Which is why Daemon Spade is still around (nevermind my joke about his soul reincarnating without him) despite Mukuro.

I think, reading through some of the comments here that IEM's translation agrees with mine. Not sure exactly how closely, but yes. Second coming, not reincarnation. (The webpage I linked you to isn't always correct, I've gotten some really weird words from it that my teacher would tell me doesn't exist so I'd rather trust my electronic dictionary. XD)

This chapter's contents were just about identical to half of Bleach's chapters. IE mindless violence and someone being awesome and cool. Sigh. How annoying. :(
If Hibari hadn't won that easily, I might count on him to win. Now I REALLY want Adelheid to win.
