That's actually a typo up there, I don't want to mislead anyone. It's not actually chapter three billion two hundred fifty-five million, five hundred fifty-five thousand five hundred and fifty five. It's just 325.

I got a little excited, is all.

1. *PUNCHES THE COVER PAGE IN THE FREAKING FACE*

2. I know everyone's shocked to see such an incredibly graphic and violent assault out of the blue like that, but damn, they don't have to look quite that horrified. This is the guy who is the reason why Cozart got slaughtered and why Ryohei and most of the tenth-gen Simon family are currently floating in fishtanks. On top of that, he's the reason why this exact same thing happened to POOR INNOCENT YAMAMOTO, and to top it all off, he caused Tsuna and Enma to break up just when those two crazy kids were starting to make it work. THAT BASTARD.

--OH OH OH! Spade let it slip that Kaoru was the one who took out Yamamoto oh this is going to be good hopefully! Look how shocked they are at this revelation, oh my god PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIVES YOU GUYS. XD

And Kaoru, man I have no sympathy for you whatsoever no matter how sorry you look. If you regret being manipulated to nearly kill your friend who trusted you, well, then, MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE NEARLY KILLED YOUR FRIEND WHO TRUSTED YOU. Self control! Well, now, on the whole I don't really know how to feel about this. On the one hand, poetic justice! On the other hand, for all that I dearly desired to punch him in those massive gonads, I never actually wished an impaling on the guy. It wouldn't be the shounen way, you know? Yamamoto wouldn't want that. :(

CURSE YOU DAEMON SPAAAAADE. And poor Tsuna looks like he's just about ready to fall into another catatonic spell and just never wake up again this time.

4. Shit, he has his own mist powers and (I'm assuming) Julie's desert (CAN HE DO THAT GAARA SAND CRUSHING THING??) powers? I should have seen this coming, given that his possession ability seems to be exactly the same as Mukuro's.

And oh, Hibari, since when have you ever come close to beating a mist type? But I have to admit, it's certainly not for lack of trying. XD

5. DAMN IT CHROME WHY CAN'T YOU DO AWESOME THINGS WHEN YOUR ACTIONS AREN'T BEING CONTROLLED BY THE MAIN VILLAIN. On the other hand, I should stop being such a negative nancy and be grateful for the fact that regardless of the circumstances, she is being completely fucking awesome right now. LOOK AT THAT! SHE TRAPPED THEM ALL IN A MIST BARRIER! YOU GO, CHROME. YOU TAKE THEM TO SCHOOL!

6. Spade sure is easily susceptible to that timeless villain blunder, "telling your enemies every last detail of your wildly ambitious evil plan long before you've even come close to defeating them." You just wait, D., your time is coming, and sooner or later you will be kicking yourself so hard when you look back on this.

And I don't know why they're all so fixated on the details of how he's going to bust Mukuro out of his snowglobe prison when he just explained to them how he painstakingly manipulated pretty much EVERY SINGLE EVENT THAT LED THEIR LIVES TO THIS MOMENT. I sure wouldn't put anything past him at this point. But Hibari is not going to take chances either way, it seems! How's the weather over there in your adorable world of denial where a guy you've never beaten is still your prey, Kyoya? Never lose faith, champ!

7. Well, we all knew it was a matter of time before Spade starting putting his hostages to good use. The man knows how to do some villain things right, it seems. ~~Boy if only the Vongola had a spare guardian who wasn't currently trapped in the mist barrier and was free to attack! THAT WOULD SURE BE A WELCOME TWIST OF EVENTS.~~

8. Duuuuuuude ffff Kaoru's not looking too hot. 8| This shit is going to be so censored once KHR Shippuuden finally comes out, I am almost going to crack up while watching it.

More importantly, though, Dera is making "GRRRR HE NEARLY KILLED MY BFF THAT FUCKER DESERVES IT" faces and oh my god, am I really so deprived of 8059 that I will have a wild fangirl moment at even the slightest hint of a mention of a hint these days? APPARENTLY SO!

I'll repeat what I said on tumblr here:

Alright, everybody. calm down and notice:

- Reborn is NOT happy shocked (unlike Tsuna and Gokudera, or Hibari who is passively surprised). He is just plainly shocked. Like something is VERY NOT RIGHT about this.

- His EYES are wrongly different. The way Chrome’s is wrong and different, but where Chrome’s is blacked out, his is whited out. But wrong the exact same way.

- That jacket is NOT in his usual fashion sense. This author has spot-on fashion sense, and the fashion sense of individual characters reveal character. Besides, why would he wear a fur-lined coat when even Gokudera is in a light and loose jacket, Tsuna is in a light polo shirt, and Hibari’s new jacket isn’t thick?

- Hibari came on a helicopter. Gokudera, Lambo, Ryohei, Tsuna came together on a boat. Simon was all on the base already. HOW did HE get there? A speedboat should have made noise that Spade or Tsuna would have noticed.

Yes, I am happy, but I am still beyond scared.

Also, the desert element is inherent to Spade himself (as seen in the anime). If julie also has it, he just enhances on Spade's.

Heh, you pay attention to all the things that just completely flew over my head in light of the total "OMFG HE'S BACK HE'S BACK!!" reaction that just took over everything else. I'll definitely step aside for your Yama expertise, but I do disagree on a couple of points. Reborn's response did not seem at all concerned or "SOMETHING'S NOT RIGHT" to me; he seemed the same as he always is. Hardly anything ever shocks that guy to begin with, and on top of that we can't see his mouth anyway so it's hard to tell.

And as for Yamamoto's eyes, nothing really struck me as out-of-place unusual either? I think it's just Amano's art style gradually evolving as per usual. I think if he was being somehow manipulated Amano wouldn't be quite that subtle, certainly not to the point where it's debatable and even confusing.

That said, nice catch on the jacket, I completely missed that the first time. The collar definitely strikes me as Millefiore-ish. And as you mentioned, there's absolutely no explanation for his appearance other than the fact that we all just blindly accept it anyway because SHOUNEN and IT'S YAMAMOTO. I expect Byakuran teleported him somehow (they have that technology from the future IIRC), but it's still an interesting point.

And Spade has a desert element, what? I don't remember that at all, wow. IS THIS AN EXCUSE TO GO REWATCH THE LAST COUPLE EPISODES OF THE PRIMO ARC, I THINK IT IS~ :D :D

Anyway, hopefully all is well. I guess we'll see either way.

*I just ~~downloaded~~ the full Primo Arc to rewatch it. I'm so in love with the first generation I don't even.

I really don't want to believe Byakuran had somehow ...merged with Yamamoto. The bright side is that at least it was really Yamamoto's own personality shining through in this chapter.

It could just be that Yamamoto made a deal with Byakuran for the sake of saving his friends? Or something?

Also you mentioned Reborn wasn't happy. I'm kind of wishing that since Gokudera is supposed to be smarter than the rest of them that he'd figure out Yamamoto wasn't actually Yamamoto.

PLEASE DON'T BE RIGHT.

After Yamamoto arrived, Reborn was shown only in 2 panels. On the first one, he looks impassively shocked (I can't be entirely sure 'cause his mouth is usually the indication of his mood). On the second panel, he looked amused, like "yare yare of course Yamamoto's gonna pull this stunt."

What I am suspicious of is his attire (BYAKURAN is the first thought that came to my head after I saw his outfit and you know, after screaming and flailing) and how he got to an island and inside a barrier that will kill Chrome if broken.

But yeah, all is right in the world again. YAY YAMA!

Quick intro is that I've been reading your chapter rants ever since I found them on google the other day while searching for Enma/Tsuna stuff and oh my god you take words straight out of my mouth regarding the inheritance arc chapters and ahh I hope I don't come off as a creepy stalker but I really like these rants of yours.

Onto the chapter: BASICALLY YAMAMOTO SQUEEES I AM GLAD HE IS ALIVE AND KICKING and I lost count of the number of people Amano ship Hibari with so I can't take that cloudman seriously anymore. but YES, YES PLOT YES. Although I have sympathy for Mizuno and I shamelessly fangirl Spade (how is he not fabulous despite being so despicable?), I still want to see the former go to Vindice on his own accord (so that we get a 5th key!) and the latter get his ass handed to him either by Mukuro or Tsuna or Enma or Giotto or Chrome or whoever.

Ahh well mostly I'm just happy to see a fan that thinks the same things I did about the inheritance arc and loves Enma and really understands that boy instead of just reduce to calling him an emo. So um nice to meet you! and may I add you?

When I read the spoilers that Kaoru stabbed himself I LOL'd this (_____________________________________________________________) much.

Now that I actually read it though...eep. I'm sorry Kaoru, you deserve the rage but you don't deserve your insides drilled. No wait, maybe just a bit. XP

I'm thinking the reason Spade wants Mukuro so badly is because of the hell's paths thing. I wouldn't be surprised if he put Mukuro through all that shit just so he'd have an uber-powerful vessel. I don't even want to think that Spade intentionally had Chrome HIT BY A CAR so he'd have easy access to Mukuro.

Speaking of Chrome, I think she really has great attacks, they're just overshadowed by her inferiority complex. What good is an awesome attack when the one who cast it looks like they don't even know what they're doing?

Gokudera has a right to be pissed. He held a grudge against Kaoru for attacking Yamamoto and Yamamoto just up and forgives Kaoru. That's really admirable of Yamamoto but Gokudera doesn't know what to do with his rage anymore. Can't blame the kid for having his heart broken repeatedly when he was younger.

And ekimisao is right about Reborn's reaction to Yamamoto. In all the guardians' fights he at least had some reaction or another. And Yamamoto was supposed to be hospitalized. Reborn is probably reserved because he doesn't buy this for a second.

This is kinda random but I noticed Reborn was still on Gokudera's shoulder while it seems like Gokudera was going to have an epic rage-fit next chapter. I mean, it doesn't seem Reborn like for him to sit there if Gokudera is going to lash out next chapter. Unless Gokudera caught on to something...

In most situations, Reborn does his smirk/smile with bright eyes, 'Ah, all is good, hm.', no matter what surprising thing happens. In that panel immediately under Yamamoto's sudden appearance, Reborn went O_O . It's that plain shock that has me worried.

No matter how we complain about Binktopia's translations, their scans and cleans are good, and such a detail won't be overlooked or wrongly cleaned.

That's right! We need to list who's competing in the 2011 Dick Olympics! Byakuran has to defend his title, but Daemon is a strong contender.

I've not much been part of the whole "RETURN TO MEEEEE, YAMAMOTO" mindset that has prevailed in his absence, but damn if I did not find myself grinning a big, goofy smile at my computer when Yamamoto showed up as he did. APPARENTLY I MISSED YOU MORE THAN I THOUGHT I DID, BBCAKES.

His entrance was just so...him. BAMFy, yet nearly overshadowed by that happy-go-lucky, friendly, kid-next-door vibe he can't seem to ditch even in the wake of being stabbed in the gut by a friend. He really is such an endearing character, it fills my heart with glee. HOW COULD YOU EVER REFUSE THAT SMILE?

The jacket, though, is weirding me the fuck out. Not necessarily because I think it is proof of Byakuran's hostile takeover (although that certainly is a possibility), but because, well, it's just weird. It looks great on him, but it is so unlike from his usual fashion sense and I guess I'm just sensitive to that sort of thing. Like that one chapter cover where it looked like Tsuna had raided Gokudera's closet (and again, looked great, but weird).

Daemon Spade continues to be nefarious, the Vendicare are waiting patiently, because they are apparently accommodating and reasonable like that, Chrome is proving once again that she is a talented fighter so long as she's not actually fighting for the Vongola, and Gokudera's mafia side is showing.

BUT WHO CARES ABOUT ALL THAT WHEN YAMAMOTO HAS RETURNED TO US. :DDDDDDD

You know, when I saw that fur-lined jacket, my first thought wasn't "he's being controlled by 100" or "he struck a deal with 100" or anything like that.

It was "oh my god he must be REALLY MESSED UP under that fur." Nothing guarantees he's fully healed - for all we know all that blood he lost is making him feel chilled. It does seem to be either autumn or winter in-story.

I think it's there just to hide his body.

I finally get the time to a complete makeste post binge and all I can do is freak out my mom by laughing at the top of my lungs when I read about Gaara references and Shit-pooh-den in mah KHR.
