makeste: (I have just met you and I love you!)
May the god of ducks smile upon you all. (No, that is not a shameless plug for Tournament of Spring. This is a shameless plug for Tournament of Spring. |D ...yeah, okay, sorry.)

1. Okay, apparently I wasn't getting birthday notifications, so before I forget again, Happy Extremely Belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] gameazel, [livejournal.com profile] ever_free, and [livejournal.com profile] theprerogative! And also [livejournal.com profile] melissa_42, though I think I already wished you well, but I didn't do it in a post, and I feel like I ought to, so. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ALL and I'm sorry I'm so ridiculously late. XD

2. So what with Wednesday's chapter of KHR revealing the epic spoiler (I'll say that part again, SPOILER--as in, if you haven't read that chapter yet, you might want to skip this next bit XD) that Gokudera's mom didn't die in a "car accident" after all, but lost her life to a MYSTERIOUS ILLNESS, I suppose it was inevitable that I'd find myself pondering this sooner or later. The thing is, the end of the Future arc also had me thinking a lot about the box animals (just because Amano nearly gave me a freaking heart attack by originally saying they'd have to leave them behind), and so it was only a matter of time before some weird part of my mind tried connecting the two. And these are the thoughts that occurred:

  1. I sure hope whatever diseased Gokudera's mom died from wasn't genetic.
  2. You know, I wonder what wave type she was.
  3. I wonder if she had multiple wave energies as well, since supposedly that kind of thing runs in families, but Bianchi couldn't do it.
  4. --hoshit, I wonder if that's connected to the illness. Since wave energy is basically life energy and all. I wonder if having multiple energies depletes your chakra that much faster or anything like that.
  5. You know, considering all that, I wonder if having a box animal that pops up at will and runs around for hours on end can possibly be at all healthy for the owner of said box animal.
  6. But wait, Uri does eat to replenish his (HER???) energy, and normal box animals don't do that, so that's gotta help some. And also he (SHE???) is almost always in his cute, tiny form, as opposed to her huge and awesomely powerful form, so that's gotta conserve a lot of energy too.
  7. STILL, THOUGH. Why did I even think this, now I'm gonna be all worried for no reason. D:
  8. ...who am I kidding, this is way too big a stretch of logic for even Amano to ever go there.

And yet, for better or worse, the plot bunny has now been planted in my head. I'm sorry, Dera, I think my headcanon is just trying to compensate for the recent lack of angst. XD

3. HEY SO I WENT TO THE PARK AND A FUNNY THING HAPPENED. )
