I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

The highlight of mine was baby sis getting so excited about us all actually sitting down at the same table to eat a meal that she just looked around, beaming, and then burst, "Let's talk about our day!" Sob hilarious guilt trip sob.

And naturally, KHR 268 was the other highlight. As usual, amazing, wondrous things are happening courtesy of Amano and her... ways.

1. Wow, Xanxus. Way to be even less of a gray-area good guy than Mukuro. "The Ninth's immediate independent assassination group, beneath the flag of Vongola, will assist those that wear the Vongola rings!" So that's it, no questions asked? No wonder Gokudera looks so adorably puzzled. It's turning out to be a strange day for him.

Also gotta love how the Varia are so callous about Squalo's not-death. Gokudera's all, "Oh man, awkward. Well, about that... he's sort of, uh... Yamamoto went to look for him?" and they're all, "LOL HE'S DEAD!" I like to think it's because they know he totally isn't. And I'm also amused by Uri and Bel-mink's INSTANT RIVALRY. Uri so tops you, mink, you don't even know. You're just lucky you're on the same side.

2. ...Is it a bit petty of me to say that after this page, a teeny, tiny part of me was actually hoping Xanxus would get his ass kicked, just because he was being so obnoxiously confident? XD "LET'S SEE YOU TRY, SCUM." And then when Gokudera tried to offer HELPFUL ADVICE, he was all, "Shut up." Well, fine, then. ;_;

3. "The battle where Gokudera's at is getting violent!" Lol, really, Tsuna? You're surprised by that? Even Uni could have foreseen that one. *rim shot*

How come they didn't use the walkies before? Too distracting, or they forgot they had them, or what? Ah, well.

4. You can't see it, but I am making a very dismayed face at the realization that I'm going to have to go through the rest of this chapter reading Lambo's name romanized as "Rambo." :| AND THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE GOOD SCANLATION, WHAT GIVES.

5. Crap, you guys, Tazaru couldn't take Kikyo down in one strike! There goes our only hope. ...???

Lol, I kinda have to wonder why they even let Nosaru and Tazaru fight to begin with. Maybe they're trying to boost their self-esteem? Would explain Ryohei's insincere, "Good work!" even though Tazaru was clearly ineffective and Nosaru DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING. Hey Gamma, your lackeys kind of fail REALLY HARD. But it's okay, the small child will save you all.

6. Wait a second, this is not the reaction fandom has taught me to associate with Ryohei and dinosaurs. ARE THEY NOT EXTREME ENOUGH? Hmm. But at least Basil is behaving as expected of him.

And already Nosaru is getting clawed faster than you can say "chained to a bunk bed." WHY ARE THEY HERE, SERIOUSLY.

7. Omg you guys. IT'S A DINOSAUR BRAWL, THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. RYOHEI IS PUNCHING DINOSAURS. BASIL IS MAKING FACES. THIS IS THE GREATEST PAGE TO HAPPEN SINCE PEOPLE RODE A SHARK. Check it--Lambo got whapped by a velociraptor tail and Ryohei is all, "LAMBO!! THE DINOSAURS!!"

THIS IS THE BEST MANGA IN THE WORLD.

8. Okay, seriously, Tazaru, you are so not one to talk.

And whee, it's Flashback Where Tsuna Is Against Letting Someone Fight 2.0! And... Reborn of all people is sticking up for the cow. Wait, what? UNEXPECTED. But not unwelcome.

Aww, and Ryohei steps up to the plate. It's so awesome to see him being more responsible. That's a side of his personality that really shone in his TYL!self, so it's great to see him starting to take those baby steps now. MORE SCREENTIME IS NEEDED, AMANO.

9. Bawww, Lambo. ;_;

I love how he's just as shounen deep down as all the rest--remind him of someone he wants to protect, and suddenly he's gar like whoa.

10. AND HOW.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, PRESENTING THE MOST ADORABLY BADASS SIX-YEAR-OLD IN HISTORY. SO BADASS HE INSPIRES BASIL TO MAKE NOT ONE, BUT TWO SHOCKED FACES, ON THE SAME PAGE.

It's so appropriate that his box weapon is a shield. And this is exactly how I've always pictured Lambo fighting, lol. He's so scared he's fighting WITH HIS EYES CLOSED, and yet he is doing unbelievable massive damage with his lightning guardian skillz. His battle cry is "Maman!" It's everything I love about Lambo all summed up in one image. Little and wimpy and yet when push comes to shove, YOU'D BETTER NOT MESS. |D

Eeee... this chapter makes me happy.

lol. I could not take this chapter too seriously because of Rambo.

|D I kept thinking of that macho guy played by Sylvester Stallone.

THAT WOULD BE AN AWESOME APPEARANCE THOUGH. FOR THE LOLZ.

If I am strict enough with myself, I can train my brain to do this thing where it will see one word and read it as another word. I had to do this with "Yuni" among other things because otherwise I just would have gone nuts. XD After a while I managed to do it with Rambo in this chapter, so it didn't bug me too much. But now I'm afraid that the next time I see the Sly Stallone movie hilarity will ensue. D:

I think that "Rambo" is 7 kinds of hilarious. I mean, Lambo and Rambo? NOT EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE TO EACH OTHER.

Is it just me, or do you too feel like Amano's not even really bothering with these chapters? Most of it (except the appearance of temporary!badass!Gokudera and Stormy the first) has bee pretty bland lately. Oh well.

And thank you~~ I didn't realize until, like, Tuesday that it's my birthday on Sunday. I was even surprised when I realized it. xD CLEARLY, I AM VERY INTELLIGENT AND GOOD AT REMEMBERING THINGS.

But that's exactly it! People have enough trouble taking Lambo seriously as it is, you know? AND NOW THIS. WHY OH WHY. XD

It kind of seems like she's just having a lot of fun with them. It seems like she has more freedom to make it up as she goes when it comes to the fights. There are certain things she has to do--show all of the guardians' new box weapons, introduce fan favorites (HAY THAR VARIA) at certain points, but aside from that, she can do whatever. So she's just kind of winging it, but I'm still finding it pretty enjoyable. (EVEN THE DINOSAURS, lol.)

Plus, just personal preference, but I'd rather have a mangaka half-ass a fight than draw out each and every boring detail. I'm thinking specifically about the last Naruto chapters here. XD

Lol, the same thing happened with me this year. The days just kinda flew by and I lost track until one day someone was like, "Hey, what do you want for your birthday?" and I was like, "My wha... oh shit, ALREADY?" WE ARE SUCH WINNERS IN THE MEMORY DEPARTMENT.

IT'S KIND OF UNFAIR TO HIM. XDDD

I guess, but I'm still having trouble getting into the chapters. IDEK. XD But the dinosaurs are so incredibly random and funny at the same time. IDEK what to say about them. XD Then again, Ryohei does lack some EXTREME reaction to them. Fandom has failed me. :/

My brother and his friends are having a party downstairs. I severely dislike one of his friends, and that guy ALWAYS has to bother me. Stupid asshole snuck up behind me, made me flinch... which in turn led to me bashing my knee against my desk. Ow.

BUT THEN, IT'S NOT LIKE LIFE HAS EVER BEEN PARTICULARLY FAIR TO LAMBO. XD

Well, I'm probably not the best one to comment on it; I have such a rose-colored view of this series it's not even funny. Amano would have to slip way, way off her game before she ever really disappointed me. Even the little things that I sometimes whine about don't bug me that much, really. KHR can do very little wrong in my eyes. XD But yeah, dinosaurs. WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE. In spite of Ryohei's surprisingly muted reaction (I expect we'll get some more EXTREME from him in the next week or so; this chapter was mostly about Lambo, so).

TRUE, TRUE. And this way at least there's less waiting involved! XD

Ouch. XD Hope it wasn't too bad. I hate it when my sibs bring over annoying friends. Luckily there are only one or two who really bug me.

I'm just so pessimistic/realistic in general that it is easy for a manga to wrong me. XD Then again, I usually won't stop bothering until it really goes down the drain. XD I SUPPOSE IT'S JUST LIKE THAT. XD (And there will hopefully be a more EXTREME reaction from Ryohei, the world needs it. :P)

THIS IS TRUE. ... HOLY SHIT, I'M 19 NOW. :O

Yeah, that guy is the only one of my brother's friends who really bother me. It's like he believes my brother and me to be a package deal, he ALWAYS has to bother me. I DON'T GET IT. He's also dangerous behind the wheel, and thinks you're boring if you don't laugh when he tops 120km/h (74.6mph) on a 30-50km/h (18.6-31mph) road.

Yeah, I can totally understand that; I'm like that with a lot of my other fandoms. Mostly it's because I'm so invested that I want them to be better, so it's frustrating when they're not. :P KHR is just a special case. (I'm telling you, either this week or the next. I'm expecting Sunny Primo any day now.)

19 IS A GOOD AGE. Or that might just be the Stephen King fan in me talking. But no, I'm pretty sure I enjoyed being 19. And it's your last year as a teenager, so enjoy the springtime of your youth while you can! XD

S-sob, that reminds me of how my cousin drives. I can't ever ride with him because he always has to speed crazily fast, and like rev the engine whenever he's stuck at a traffic light, and so forth. WHY WOULD SOMEONE DRIVE LIKE THAT.

You pretty much summarized everything I did while reading the chap.

Every time I read Rambo, I kept coming with the Silver Stalone!Rambo and my mind kept breaking XDDD;;;

The fact that Reborn really, actually acknowledges Lambo as a person is so comforting. And andandandand Lambo crying for Maman made me go all ;_; at the scene.

I know! It was so unexpected because usually he doesn't even acknowledge his existence except as a waste of space. But in this chapter he was all, HE'S A GUARDIAN TOO, HE WAS CHOSEN FOR A REASON~. And then he didn't even hit him or anything afterward. I was like, "WAIT WHAT REALLY?" But it was so sweet, especially coming from him. And yeah, Lambo crying for Maman and fighting so he could see her again really made the chapter. B-baww.

LOLLLLL holy shit it was. Now I won't be able to keep from cracking up when I look at that last page. XD

I'm not sure Magikayo is really a solid fan of the series (cnet is, even if he loves OnePiece more, hehe), otherwise she would know these things. I understand it happens in scanlating groups, sometimes you are assigned a series that you're not exactly a fan of.

Yeah, I guess if you're only passing familiar with KHR, and you're looking at a chapter like this, Rambo would seem like the obvious romanization. BADASS BABY COW WHO BLOWS THINGS UP. 'Lambo' only makes sense once you realize he's named after the Italian auto makers. Otherwise it would be a toss-up.

And it's my pleasure, since I have to get the weekly fangirling out somehow. XD

1. lmfao. God, I love the Varia so much xD They're like the super dysfunctional family that no one is allowed to talk about ~~Although Xanxus sure did look like a pretty lady.~~. Uri vs. Mink is epic.

They are; their reactions to Squalo's "death" totally cracked me up. "HAHA COOL, NOW I GET TO BE THE CAPTAIN." And Gokudera's face at their response. XDDD ~~Well, at least he was manlier than in that calendar.~~ And someday I want to see a spin-off about the adventures of the box animals. Lambo did good this chapter and I like the weapon that Amano gave him, it works well given that its in the hands of a 6 year old.

Yet out of all the freakin things that Kikyo had to get, it had to be Dinosaurs. While they do honestly fit his character, it just seems like Amano is running out of ideas (since Zakuro turned into a dinosaur). I would have loved to see a unicorn pop out.

But the fact that Ryohei shouted out "LAMBO, DINOSAUR!" was so worth the repeat.

I like how it was just the right size for him. XD So cute. And yet, so unexpectedly powerful. It was exactly the type of thing I was hoping his box weapon would be. Definitely the perfect fit for him.

Lol, yeah, I was a little disappointed we didn't get a unicorn or goat or something like that. But I'd have been more disappointed if his dinosaur was like a triceratops or stegosaurus or something. BUT INSTEAD THERE WERE VELOCIRAPTORS. So I was pacified, mostly. Because... holy shit velociraptors. Well, that and Kikyo didn't actually transform yet, so maybe there's still hope. (The only thing is that I really can't see how Ghost is going to outdo Kikyo and Zakuro now. XD)

OMG YES, the last few chapters have been severely lacking in the VOIIII department. And now that Gokudera is apparently done fighting for now, I want Yamamoto to show up too. WITH HIS SHARKMENTOR. To kick ass. ;_;

Lol, that's too bad, then. My 16-year-old brother watches the anime and is completely oblivious to any of the slashy hints, but my 20-year-old brother can spot it a mile away (but then, he's got good gaydar), so I guess it varies. In an ideal world, the awesomeness of MAFIA RAPTORS would transcend something as trivial as the manga's het content (or lack thereof), but sadly we're not quite there yet. XD ONE DAAAAY.

FINGERS CROSSED, I guess. Not that I'd mind if TYL!Lambo doesn't end up changing at all (I'd still be glad just to see him again; it's been too long), but still, we can always hope. |D

And this is the most amazing manga ever because THERE ARE DINOSAUR FIGHTS. I for one, was a little surprised by the dinosaurs from Kikyo; mainly because I expecting a box animal of his to be ... well, more flowery and gay. BUT STILL, HE DOESN'T DISAPPOINT. Freakin' dinosaurs...

Well, to be fair, Kikyo hasn't actually done his transformation yet, so flowery and gay might not necessarily be out of the picture. But yeah, the velociraptors were definitely unexpected. IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE.

I do too, but I'm really glad Lambo got to shine in this chapter. I've been waiting for this moment since... pretty much the start of the series. XD FINALLY BABY COW GOT TO BE COOL. Ryohei can kick ass next week. :P

Too bad Lambo's box wasn't a giant grape. LOL. Ahh, this makes me want to get my former Guardian cosplay group together just to do the First Gen Guardians. (And all I'd have to do for Lambo's counterpart would be to go find a rounded pan and stick some spears into it. XDD).

Yeah, I pretty much spent this chapter going back and forth between "awww" and "!!!!" This was pretty much everything I ever wanted in a Lambo chapter; we got Reborn actually acknowledging him, even. And then he had his badass moment at the end, while screaming and crying for Maman. Oh Lambo. ;_;

That would be the coolest cosplay group everrr. And I bet it won't be long now until we finally get a color spread of all of them, which would help a lot (just waiting on Ryohei now, and I have a feeling his moment will be arriving within the next couple of weeks). And lol, yeah, the shield would be fairly simple as far as props go. XD

First Generation Sun Guardian. I want him NOWWWWWW. Watch him be a boxer with a badass scar (or tattoo!!!).

Yeah, I'm sure he'll look exactly like Ryohei except he'll have SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT HAIR and no bandage on his nose. XD But it's cool, I've resigned myself to sitting back and watching people on the comm be annoyed about it. And if we get another badass tattoo a la Stormy Primo, I sure as hell won't be complaining. 8D

I'm not gonna lie: I cheered when the Varia showed up last week. And I'm still cheering now. XD

Maybe they forgot too, considering there was the whole distracting battle thing. And maybe Tsuna didn't use his because he was afraid of doing that whole cliched "breaking radio silence during a crucial moment and giving away his friend's position" thing. I guess it sort of makes sense.

I agree, he's come a long way since the early days when he would have flipped out at the prospect of being RESCUED!! by his ENEMIES!!, how humiliating. XD He not only kept his cool this time, but he even gave Xanxus advice on how to fight the Wreaths. He's gotten much more rational. But he's learned a lot about teamwork during this arc, so it's appropriate.

But considering how surpirsed Tsuna was when Gokudera called him, maybe they didn't have them anymore? Lol to the "breaking radio silence during a crucial moment and giving away his friend's position". That seriously happens every time. 8'D

SECONDED. And if we don't get to see at least a little more of TYL!Gokudera before this arc ends I will be very sad. The short glimpse we had at the beginning really wasn't enough, especially considering the circumstances. I want to see how far he's come, especially given what Gamma said during their rematch, about him being Tsuna's feared right hand man.

BUT IF HIS HAIR GETS ANY LONGER HE AND SQUALO WILL BE INDISTINGUISHABLE.

But he already made the Systeme C.A.I. so you would think that it was already a part of it..but it almost seems like he just recently starting using the new box..@-@ Gah confuzled..

Yep, and unfortunately, chapter 269 really did not help with the whole velociraptor thing at all. Amano is trying to give me a heart attack or something. D: Lol, if Byakuran was a unicorn that would totally kick ass, though. Ghost can be a dragon, I guess. A DRAGON WOULD BE COOL, if a little similar to Zakuro's transformation.

Yeah, we basically only got to see him go, "Omg Tenth you're alive! ;_;" and that was it. Probably not the most accurate glimpse of his usual TYL personality. I mean, I have a fair idea of what he's probably like, based on what we've heard about him and on his character development so far, but I'd still really like to see for myself.

As for the box weapon, maybe TYL!Dera had been developing the concept of the Sistema C.A.I. for a while but hadn't collected all of the necessary components yet? It could be that he got the shields and maybe the other four rings earlier on, but had only recently acquired the skull cannon. Or maybe TYL!Yamamoto just didn't have all of the details straight. Powerful boxes, not just the one. And of course, the real explanation is that Amano probably hadn't come up with the idea for the C.A.I. yet back when she wrote that chapter. XD

OH SHIT I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE HAIR THING WITH LUSSURIA'S HEALING. XD Sob, but he seriously would look exactly like Squalo if that happened. It would be epic.

This chapter switches from awesomeness to crack to the mixture of both so crazily that I can almost feel my brain overwhelmed. In a really good way. It was both great and hilarious itself but your review always makes it thousand times funnier! XD
Btw I totally believe LAMBO was THE HERO of this chapter. And wasn't that Uri vs. Mink scene ADORABLE? Somebody should stop me from shipping Uri/Mink...

That's something KHR does really well, that blend of crack and awesome. In fact, the velociraptor attack kind of epitomizes the concept. What could possibly be cooler than a dinosaur brawl? Nothing that comes to mind, that's for sure. XD But at the same time, I can't think of anything crackier than that. It's pretty damn brilliant on Amano's part.

And Lambo absolutely was the hero. ♥ A scared little kid who's afraid to fight but will do so for the sake of seeing his mother-figure again--that is absolutely heroic. I'd have been proud of him just for trying, but hell, he SUCCEEDED. THOSE RAPTORS NEVER SAW IT COMING. So cool. And sob, I think I ship it too. I need to get a grip before I end up shipping Uri with every single damn box animal. XD
