We laughed, we cried, we facepalmed.

1. AMANO STOP SHOVING UNI'S DEATH INTO OUR FACES, MY GOD YOU CAN'T JUST TRAUMATIZE US ALL BY KILLING HER OFF AND THEN GLEEFULLY MANIPULATE OUR EMOTIONS EVEN FURTHER BY SHOWING HER ON THE COVER ALL INNOCENT AND SMILING AND AT PEACE AND STUFF.

And by the way, what the hell is Gamma, chopped liver? Byakuran too, for that matter. I guess if you torture teenage kids and/or try to take over the world for lulz, you don't get to have pretty tribute covers. Though you know she'd totally draw one if it was Mukuro or Xanxus, because clearly there is a DOUBLE STANDARD going on here and it doesn't matter if you're formerly evil just so long as you are popular~. I SEE HOW IT IS.

2. Oh damn it I saw Shou's face and my heart went ;_;. And now I feel guilty because going into this chapter I was fully prepared to be very annoyed if we didn't see some sort of reaction from him at witnessing the death of his former best friend, but now that he is having said reaction, I am incredibly sad all of a sudden. But you know, in a good way. Because at least this part of Byakuran's death is being written properly.

And here, too. Now this is how you do reaction shots; we have the lovely contrast between Shou and Kikyou's faces of sadness and/or NOOOOOO, and Gokudera/Yamamoto/Ryohei/Basil's faces of HELL FUCKING YES, and also Dino and Mukuro's more subdued faces of we-are-also-pleased-at-this-turn-of-events-but-we're-mature-so-we-won't-start-jumping-up-and-down-or-anything. They look more like they're about ready to sit down for a cup of celebratory tea. Anyway, this is nice; I feel like Amano's getting back on track.

3. However, I am still a little annoyed that while Tsuna is openly distraught about the loss of Gamma and Uni (BUT AT LEAST HE REMEMBERED GAMMA), he doesn't seem the slightest bit shaken by the fact that he just killed a guy (a real guy, not some Torikabuto guy). Maybe it just hasn't sunk in yet. Or maybe he's too upset about Uni to care... but hell, you know what, this is Tsuna we're talking about; he should at least be a little traumatized after disintegrating another human being, no matter how much of a dick said human was. I can nitpick if I want to. :|

4. SURE, WE CARE FUCKALL ABOUT BYAKURAN, BUT KIKYOU, DON'T HURT KIKYOU! ...Well, no, I don't really want to see Kikyou kick the bucket either (even though I read SPOILERS so I know what is fated to be), so if they decide to start having conscience attacks now I'm not gonna stop them.

(I know that Tsuna is exhausted, and I can't blame him, given how much HP he obviously used up in that battle, but his sudden random lazy eye is still distracting. XD)

5. Oh, wow. Seriously? THERE IS A PARALLEL WORLD WHERE BLUEBELL WAS A RULER OF MEN? Check off another point in favor for a parallel universe arc at some point; I would really love to see this. XD

6. YAY, POST-MORTEM SYMPATHETIC FLASHBACKS. Now I can look back at these characters and feel sorry they are gone (oh Daisy, suddenly I actually miss you!). And I am going to take this as still further proof that Torikabuto just doesn't fucking count. YEAH, THAT GUY, WE'RE JUST GONNA IGNORE HIM. Sucks to be you, dude.

I thought I would crack up at this page (I did when I read the spoilers, um XD), but it's actually somewhat horrifying. Probably the context that did it. LOVING YOUR TIMING, XANXUS, REALLY.

And oh, Lussuria. Any excuse to take your shirt off.

8. FUCK. YEAH.

ARCOS IN DA HOUUUUUUUSE. "So many babies!" Oh God, okay, now I'm cracking up. XDDD I wonder if it is occurring to Kyoko and Haru that one of these guys took advantage of their maternal instincts in the past and let them bathe him and stuff. COLONNELLO YOU OLD PERV, IT'S SO GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN.

Awww, and there's yet another reaction panel section that's done well. Bel and Lal in particular made me smile. "Found you, Mammon." Hee, his little buddy is back.

9. RESET BUTTON GET. Yes, even though Byakuran took over all the worlds and killed all the people, it's okay. They got better.

But wait a sec... oh, fucking... come on Amano, even Yamapapa? I don't care how much Yama's face at that revelation tugged at my heartstrings, that's still fucking cheap. CONFIRMED: NO ONE DIES IN REBORN. EVER. Except apparently Byakuran and Uni and Gamma.

Heh, I just had a moment of self-awareness where I realized that I am really hard to satisfy these days. XD Would I really rather have had Tsuyoshi stay dead and Byakuran not, or at least have him be killed some other way? Probably yes, if I am honest with myself. Sob.

10. Verde's science talk is kinda turning me on somehow (mmm, exposition) and I want an icon of his face in the top panel so I can giggle at it all the time.

And apparently the Mare rings have all been sealed in TYE time, hmm. Do I smell a tri-ni-sette arc coming on? Guess we'll see.

Lastly, the words we've all been waiting for, at long last! LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF DODGE.

The Future Arc is finally over. Oh, wow. Just typing those words feels so surreal. :D

Everything else, I love. YAY IT'S FINISHED AT LAST. Can't wait for the next arc. If I know Amano, the next one will come very soon! :D She's not the type to make mini arcs between huge arcs like Odacchi.

Poor Shou-chan. I love that he's sad when Byakuran died. AS HE SHOULD BE.

...is Lussuria seriously gonna save Kikyou? People mentioned Kikyou being the Varia Cloud. :)

"TSUNA, YOU BEAT BYAKURAN, SO SUDDENLY EVERYTHING'S ALL BETTER." Seriously, what? All this makes me wonder why Primo didn't show his face ages ago and save us all a lot of grief.

But yeah, aside from that, I'm pretty delighted. Give me just a little bit of Daily Life to pacify me, and then I'm all for hopping aboard the next arc train.

Shouichi's reaction was beautifully done, and very much needed to provide the chapter with at least a little bit of realism. Even if everyone is coming back to life, things are never quite going to be perfect again. And while that makes me sad for Shou, I'm still glad we got to see that moment.

And I have no idea, but I hope he does, cuz I kind of love that little bastard. XD COME BACK, KIKYOU.

Celebratory tea over something they had no hand in helping with, really. After that last chapter where they just talked about helping or whatever.

I agree 100% with Tsuna's not reacting to killing someone but flipping out about Kikyou. It felt wrong not to have him freaked out about offing Byakuran, and it doesn't seem like we'll be getting any of it next chapter, either.

The "so many babies!" had me dying with laughter and reminded me of the Saturday Reborn! shoot at NYAF. I love Colonello so much, and was happy for Lal. Even if her lover still being a baby is hella awkward. Yay for the babies being back in general, too. I loved how Skull added "sempai" as an after thought.

I don't know how I feel about this arc's ending and it being (nearly) over. I feel like I have expectations for the next arc to be something interesting and impressive, but I don't, really. This is Reborn! after all. To expect greatness is asking a bit much, but after traveling to the future and so on, well. Anything can seem extraordinarily dull.

They're winners like that.

Maybe his RAGE!!!!1 over Uni's death caused a split personality to develop so that he could kill Byakuran and then forget about it entirely. Like a coping device or something.

BABIES! Everything about the Arcos' return is wonderful.

Right now, curiosity and hope are winning out over everything else, so I'm looking forward to it. In fact, I'm anticipating the next chapter in a way that I haven't experienced in quite a while. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. And this chapter reassured me that even though Amano's dropped the ball on a few things, she still has the basics down. So I'm excited. :)

Maybe... but I'm hoping Reborn smacks him and makes him realize that yeah, he killed someone, but he did it to protect and defend whereas Byakuran and all the other villains kill because they're the villains. I love Reborn and Tsuna pep/comfort talks, and we really need one of them for this, I think.

Ineed. I wonder if they'll get a party next chapter like Ryohei and Basil got - if there's time before the kids go back to the past.

I'm looking forward to seeing this arc completely wrapped up - with the kids in the past again. It'll be nice to see everyone say good-bye to each other while knowing it's likely they'll run into the past versions of their friends soon enough - except for the Kawahira who will forever be shrouded in mystery ~~until the final arc when he is revealed as the Cervello's boss and the ultimate big bad, of course~~. But as for the next arc itself, I guess I just don't want to be all excited and then let down. I tend to be pessimistic at the beginning of new arcs, though, so it's probably just me. *bricked*

I WON'T BELIEVE IT'S OVER UNTIL LIKE, FIVE CHAPTERS INTO THE NEXT ARC. I swear. I've been traumatized and they'll be like halfway through the next bit and I'll keep expecting Byakuran to suddenly pop up like LOL HI TSUNA I'M DRAGGING YOU BACK TO THE FUTURE!

Heh, I think we all need a little bit of therapy after this arc. IS IT... FINALLY SAFE TO COME OUT...? But barring the fact that I fully expect TYE!Byakuran to show up at some point in the past and be all "HEY GUYS ♪" (except not because he won't actually remember them), I think we have seen the last of this little arc that spanned 140 chapters. Hopefully.

Because at least this part of Byakuran's death is being written properly.

I did. Enjoy the Shouichi faces. But I still think he should have cried. Or at least been MORE shocked and not gone straight to CONGRATULATIONS TSUNA :D

Verde's exposition and the whole copout about everything Byakuran destroyed reversing is just annoying. I mean, won't this future just not exist when they go back to the past? So no one would have died to begin with... I thought that was the entire point of defeating Byakuran. Uggh, I don't even know, KHR science breaks my brain o__0

And Tsuna's lack of reaction to KILLING SOMEONE was oddly....odd. But NEW ARC I'M SO FRICKEN EXCITED!!!1!!1

My brain hurts thinking about it. The Mare rings lost their power so therefore everything they ever did magically never happened? And somehow everything else is all better just because Uni died. How does that even work? They kind of purposely skimped on the details.

Yeah, it felt really weird given his character. But who knows, maybe they'll expand on it later (after it's had a while to sink in for him). And yeah, at any rate, we're getting a new arc finally and OH YEAH, TIME TO PARTY.

Those reaction panels: SPOT. ON. Kikyou and Shouichi's heartstring-tugging sadfaces, Mukuro and Dino being subtly smug about the whole thing, and the Vongola going \o/ -- they all just fit perfectly.

I'm hoping that after everyone gets to go home and settle down a bit, the shock of Byakuran's death will really hit Tsuna. If it was another manga, I'd expect it to just be left where it is, but with Amano I can hope. :|

I do love how in the flashback page everyone else is kind of just staring out at the horizon and sighing, while Kikyou is getting kicked in the head by some rich asshole. OH, KIKYOU, YOU DRAMA QUEEN. NEVER CHANGE. I give him like a week before Lussuria press-gangs him into the Varia, haha. :D He looks pretty dead but that's no guarantee~

RESET BUTTON DNW. D: Even if I was kinda expecting it, it's still pretty fucking cheap. *sigh* At least things won't go totally back to normal.

Agreed. For once they weren't wasted; every single reaction was one I wanted to see, and each one was just perfect.

Yeah, she still has a better track record than most shounen mangaka, recent antics aside. Though the way everything just got wrapped up in the next chapter, I have my doubts. But I'd still really love to see it; if he never does have a reaction, I don't think I'll ever quite feel satisfied with this ending.

Yeah, leave it to Kikyou to be hilarious even in his traumatic flashback panel. I miss him. :( I sure hope he's not dead, but either way, I guess we won't be seeing him again TYL at the very least. Le sigh.

Though Amano does seem pretty determined to get them AS CLOSE TO NORMAL AS SHE CAN POSSIBLY GET. I almost have to admire it, even if it is kind of annoying.

I AM SO DAMN EXCITED. I'm going to be all bouncy and stuff now for the entire next week.

WELL IT'S NOT LIKE THEY HAVE TO DATE HIM TO WORK FOR HIM. But yeah, I would love a Longchamp Arc. Like, really love one. I don't know if everyone realizes that I'm actually serious; I would love Longchamp as a villain, and not just in a Yama/Wall/flying shark way, but SERIOUSLY. Because no one would see it coming, and I could just point and laugh and then watch as Amano just makes it all work somehow, in spite of everything.

What the hell was the real reason the kids needed to got to the future? lgfhsf So many questions D=

1. I BET THE NEXT CHAPTER (by which I mean 283 lulz) HAS A COLOR PAGE OF GOKUDERA'S MOM OR SOMETHING. Somewhere, Amano is laughing at our pain.

2. Yeah, his expression was really well done. Nothing too overt, but you could see he had EMOTIONS that will probably need a good deal of therapy to sort out. Poor guy.

3. I hope so. 282 seemed to wrap things up pretty neatly, so that left me kind of despairing the possibility of us ever getting a real post-kill reaction from Tsuna. Sigh.

5. "ALL SHALL LOVE ME AND DESPAIR~ <3" Sweet Lord, Bluebell was probably terrifying in her prime. Somehow.

7. No love for Kikyou. It seems to be a common sentiment, ALAS.

8. It was so perfect. I love it when characters react like they really ought to. I mean, hell, it was a lot of babies. And they appeared out of nowhere! It was just the thing to say, really.

And yeah, as long as we got those reunions (and reactions), I'm happy.

9. The only reason I can see for bringing the kids to the future was to get the Vongola rings, but really, once Primo REMOVED THE SHACKLES~ and upgraded those things, just about everything else they did--training, Shou pretending to be evil, Vongola boxes, etc. etc.--was rendered pointless. They could have done that from the start! They could have absolutely done that from the start. What was the point? The longest arc happened for the dumbest reason. XD

I dunno, it's late and I'm too tired to think logically through it all... I'm just glad it's over, at any rate.

10. Well, Spanner finally showed his face in the next chapter, so that's all well and good. I guess all we can do now is wait. 8D

Heh, it's okay, I haven't been in a chatting mood much lately myself (one of the reasons for the exceptionally late reply, for which I apologize XD). Anyway, I was glad to see them too (VERDE THE SCIENCE GUY IS MY NEW FAVORITE). Can't wait for the next chapter.

I really enjoyed just that moment with Yamamoto going 'Pops... <3'. BAWWWW tugged at my heart-strings it did.

... ON THE OTHER HAND - it's totally not fair if you bring back the people who died! Reset buttons are just stupid!

It was sweet. Much as I was annoyed at the "EVERYONE GETS A HAPPY ENDING, DAMMIT" going around, I can't help but be happy for him. It had to be such a burden, knowing that his father was dead in that timeline and there was nothing he could do to change it. WELL, NOW IT'S CHANGED; boy can rest easy at last. :)

Sob. At the end of the day, the only thing we can do is go "lol, shounen" and live with it, I guess. XD

I know... it's nice that he didn't lose Squalo either. Though if he did, surely it would just have been undone anyway.

So... I'm a tiny bit confused. Gamma and Uni don't seem to be affected by this RESET button. Plus, does this mean that Genkishi is alive? O:

I know, right? TYL!Tsuna should have just used the bazooka to borrow the rings from the TYE kids and then done the Giotta upgrade thing and blown up Byakuran himself. NO NEED TO WASTE 140 CHAPTERS, YEESH.

Yeah, me too. I did grow fond of him, in the end. XD

Ah, yes. The reset button. I figure that if you're going to kill someone, kill them. If they're not going to stay dead, keep it ambiguous and uncertain. "Yamapapa has been missing for sometime now. We're not sure what has happened to him. We believe he may have been kidnapped." Blah blah blah, stuff happens. "Yep, since Byakuran's existence has been wiped out, Yamampapa has also returned. It turns out that Byakuran was keeping him in a meat locker... for fun."

The weird part of it all? Yamapapa should be dead in THIS world, which should technically cease to exist when the gang goes back in time. I mean, Yamapapa isn't dead in the past, so I always figured that that wouldn't even be a problem because Byakuran would be stopped and therefore, Yamapapa would never even be killed in the first place.

Amano, you fail at time travel and making sense.

It makes absolutely no sense. I don't care how much Verde and co exposition at us, fixing the tri-ni-sette should not magically alter time so that bad things never happened. XD

What I figured was that this future was always a parallel universe, because TYL!Tsuna and the others obviously never traveled to the future to fight Byakuran themselves, you know? In their timeline, they grew up normally without any time traveling, chapter-wasting antics. So whatever universe TYE!Tsuna and the rest are going back to will grow into a brand new timeline, but it won't actually undo anything that's already happened in this one. ...Am I making sense here? Anyway. Either way, bringing back Yamapapa and the rest is still dumb, but since everyone's angst is apparently being undone now (I'm looking at you, Gokudera in chapter 282), whatever. XD Amano will just have to give them brand new things to angst about. I'M COUNTING ON YOU, AMANO.
