TIME SURE FLIES WHEN YOU'RE BUSY NOT UPDATING YOUR JOURNAL LIKE YOU OUGHT TO BE. I have like 30-something comments that I have yet to reply to. I wish I could say this wasn't a common occurrence. XD Sorry, guys.

1. Happy Birthday to kat8cha, starlinglove, and fishkro! That's interesting; it appears that the end of August/start of September is a prime time for awesome people to be born. Hope you all had fun! ♥

2. For the record, I have no issue if anyone wants to link my public posts to Facebook or Twitter or wherever. If I did, they wouldn't be public posts. So go ahead (not that I really think anyone was lining up to do that in the first place).

1. Something new observed today: Kangaryuu is kind of scary. That's one box animal I wouldn't want to run into down a dark alley.

2. Hell yeah. BD Okay, Yamamoto is still the unrivaled king of entertaining battles, and Gokudera is still the king of flippin' awesome powerups (I have no doubt that the inevitable Sistema C.A.I. upgrade is going to blow our minds), but what Ryohei does, he also does exceptionally well. And what Ryohei does is FIGHTING WITHOUT A SHIRT. FUCKING YES.

I swear I am only a little bit shallow, really. Mmm mmm, look at those low-rising pants... Ryohei, you and Gokudera should compete in a battle of sexy hips sometime. OH AND HEY YOUR ARMOR IS ALSO PRETTY COOL. It looks powerful. And stuff. Yeah.


3. Shit, I forgot that all of Ryohei's fights have an inconvenient time limit. Apparently Aoba didn't forget, though! Because the Shimon family's research team does not completely suck! Everyone in the Vongola family, please kick yourselves right now, and remember, you deserve it. Also I wonder who their source is. (KAWAHIRA?!?! You know I'm going to keep on saying that until one day it finally comes true.)


4. Oh, the hell with it. Aoba is being all obnoxious with his stupid tantalizing hints and suggestions, so let's just have a guessing round RIGHT HERE AND NOW.

• Reborn (damn, I wish this wasn't blatantly impossible. MAYBE YOU HAVE AMNESIA, REBORN??)
  
• Primo (much more likely, except that even if he didn't approve of the direction Vongola has taken, I still can't picture him actively helping another family to take them down. Plus he's Tsuna's number one fan and all that)
  
• Secondo (HIM, on the other hand... Of course, there's still the issue of HOW THE HELL COULD THEY POSSIBLY COMMUNICATE WITH HIM, but it's KHR. Anything is possible)
  
• Shimon Primo (except how would he know anything about the Vongola's fighting styles?)
  
• Nono (could it be the cluelessness was all a farce?)
  
• Xanxus (except I can't see him betraying the Vongola, even if he's very unsatisfied with the current leadership)
  
• Byakuran (well, he's known the Vongola in literally billions of universes, so! And he does sort of hate them! And he is a confirmed dick, so we know better than to put this past him)
  
• KAWAHI-- *SHOT*

I AM JUST SO CURIOUS NOW. To think that a mystery would come along that would actually overshadow my joy at finally learning another one of the Earth flame types. But I'm happy about that as well. YAY FLAME OF THE FOREST~


5. OH FUCK YES. YOU TELL HIM, RYOHEI. LOOKS LIKE THE RULES OF THE FIRST SUN GUARDIAN DO NOT APPLY TO HIM, BITCH. So much for that time limit.

And now for the obligatory pre-match taunting. Hey guys, I thought this was boxing, not pro wrestling.


6. Now that's more like it! Jogging toward each other in boxing stances! Something else new observed today: Boxing matches are really hard to draw without making them look completely ridiculous. This will hopefully be a lot cooler in the anime. XD

SIGH, you just had to be a dramatic little show-off, didn't you. What are the odds that next week he asserts that he let Aoba punch him on purpose to test his strength or something? WHATEVER. In any case, I see we will have to wait a whole nother week to see how this fight is going to end.

But I should just be grateful that Ryohei is even getting a two-chapter fight. I just wish he would make an attempt to look less foolish while taking advantage of it. XD

And you know, even if it wasn't already broken at that particular moment in time, I can't exactly picture Ryohei as the type to go, "OH GOD MY NOSE GOD NO AGHHHH." I figure he'd be used to it. XD

If I had to arrange the candidates in order of likelihood, I'd probably put Xanxus third, right after Byakuran and Secondo. He definitely fits the profile.

2. The C.A.I. upgrade is going to be the coolest thing ever. My expectations are so ridiculously high, and the thing is, I'm pretty sure Amano's going to blow them out of the water even so. GOKUDERA ALWAYS GETS THE COOL POWERUPS.

4. Yeah, Mukuro doesn't quite seem to fit the bill. Spade is definitely an option, though. That sneaky bastard.

I don't know if Verde or Fran really fit that first criteria, though. "Someone who knows the Vongola better than anyone else in this world." Plus Fran is probably around Lambo's age right now, too.

Spade might have some role in all this, though. I'm still sure the Primos are going to have more involvement in this storyline before this arc ends, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Hmm. My first thoughts were Reborn (maybe he was hiding his true thoughts from the audience? YES PLZ) Xanxus (I could see him being really disappointed with Tsuna & co) or Iemitsu/Nono/someone working for them, but on further thought it could just as easily be someone like Mukuro, or one of the Arcobaleno. Or Fran! (wait-- he's too young. Like . . . three or four. Dammit.) Kawahira's pretty likely, though.

I will never stop secretly hoping that Reborn up and betrays them one day. Even if it makes no sense. IT WOULD BE AWESOME, THAT IS REASON ENOUGH.

Iemitsu, now there's a thought. That would be terrifying. Right now I think Byakuran and especially Vongola Secondo are more likely options, but all of the others you suggested are highly probable too. Nono especially would be a real blow for Tsuna. THAT'S RIGHT, EVERYONE YOU HAVE SO FAR TRUSTED IN THIS ARC IS BETRAYING YOU. My God, that would suck so much for him.

2 - Considering how awesome the Sistema C.A.I. is already (can I have a favourite weapon system? I have a favourite weapon system) the upgrade is bound to be off the charts amazing. And based on the upgrades to date, off-the-chart hot as well.

4 - Well this is going to obsess me for weeks. -.-; I think the 'disappointed' thing rules out Xanxus, because you have to have expectations to be disappointed, and if anything he'd expect them to suck. I wonder if the 'disappointed in you' refers to Tsuna &co specifically or the Vongola in general? *wanders off in search of a raw*

Hmm. I think Reborn is unlikely, if only because she seems to be setting him up as the obvious choice, which practically guarantees a twist. Byakuran is, sadly, also unlikely, because while this is so something he would pull, I think Amano's editors might actually kill her if the future arc Suddenly Wasn't Over~ ^^;

Nono (or one of the Cake Men Nono Guardians, or Iemitsu) is a definite possibility, but we've already had Evil Fake Nono way back when, and this would be a near-Byakuran level of dickery that I have trouble seeing from any of them, really. Primo himself also seems unlikely, because oh boy do the Shimon have their hate on for him. XD D. Spade, however... that would ring alarmingly true, especially if his original betrayal was linked to the whole Shimon/Primo thing to start with. I think my money is on him at this point. WATCH ME BE WRONG.

I love the way you phrased this. XD And I can't really argue, I guess. Given your point about Byakuran, I think right now my money is on Vongola Secondo, with D. Spade a close second. They both have a similar dislike of Vongola Primo, and would seem to fit the profile that we've been given.

And while that's true about Yamamoto vs. Genkishi, I'm not sure that it counts given that it was a rematch. ;; He sort of already had his round one where he got his butt kicked.

HOW DID I FORGET LONGCHAMP?! He was even at the Inheritance Ceremony, too! Clearly he was passing the Shimon family information RIGHT UNDER THE VONGOLA'S NOSES, the fiend. Oh, he's good.

You can read IEM's version of the previous chapter here; I think Adelheid's exact words according to them were, "Everyone holds a different pride within themselves. We should decide on the battle rules with that in mind." So basically, Binktopia got it backwards. Which was pretty silly of them, given that later on in that very chapter, Aoba and Ryohei did exactly what Adelheid described.

Haha, I like that analogy. I hope that doesn't mean the Vongola are the underdogs, though. XD

l-lol I just had this mental image of everyone coming out of hiding once Tsuna finally defeats Enma, and being like, "SURPRISE! IT WAS A TEST ALL ALONG," And Yamamoto whips out a bottle of ketchup and goes, "Pretty realistic, huh? Haha, sorry about that!" That might be the one circumstance under which Tsuna might legitimately attempt to kill someone other than Byakuran. XD

6. Basically Enma surrounded him with a tornado of forest flames that kicked Ryohei's ass and blocked his vision, and then kept sucker punching him when he couldn't see to block. He wasn't kidding about the sportsmanship thing. :| "Getting his ass kicked and spraying blood everywhere" more or less sums it all up, though.

4- Right now all my money is on D. Spade being the Shimon's informant. What with the Primo filler arc clues and Spade being in the Vongola for TWO GENERATIONS!!!!!11! And also Amano reminding us that for some reason the Vongola's ways changed between the first and second generations. But it could be anyone really XD

4. THANK YOU, I was looking for that page you linked. I agree that Spade is an extremely likely candidate, and I've also got my eye on Vongola Secondo for the same reasons. And if the informant turns out to not be someone involved in the Primo/Cozart fiasco, I'll be very surprised.

Incidentally, I love that this is a manga in which dead people are just as reasonable an option as the living in cases like this. XD

After disappearing from the face of KHR verse for 2 weeks, phppsmss is back with a vengeance, swearing and facepalming with the incessant plot shredding.

I know, i know... probably made a name for myself with my crappy plot rantings but I just can't help it! Esp with the latest chapter. WHY AMANO?! WAD MADE YOU THINK THAT GOING DOWN THE ROUTE OF CLICHE POWERUPS/POWER RANGER BLING IS FANTASTIC FOR PLOT DEVELOPMENT? [ the appearance of vendice was only brief relief ]

Basically the chappie went like this - Aoba foolishly taunts & draws out the battle (as usual), giving Ryohei time to charge his batteries for a counter attack (i so fear that it is gonna end with another one hit K.O. Ryohei style).

This chappie fails so bad... urgh... trotting off to read KHR fanfiction for purification of mind

Lol. BUT THIS IS SHOUNEN. You know there's gonna be fights like this eventually. WITH SHINY POWERUPS AND UNDER-THE-BELT TAUNTS AND THE GOOD GUY GETTING HIS ASS KICKED AND THEN MAKING A COMEBACK AND TURNING IT ALL AROUND. Even KHR has to succumb to the cliches that form the backbone of this genre sometimes.

And hey, at least we got that little tidbit about a traitor in the Vongola's midst. That was unexpected; I'm glad we got even that much plot now that we've entered the fighting phase of things. So I guess the best we can do is just hope that Amano tosses us a few more tidbits like that in the coming chapters. Aside from that, we've just got to wait it out and try to enjoy it for what it is. ...and hell, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have fun with this chapter. Sometimes retarded boyfights are a nice change of pace.

I'm surprised you didn't think of Cervello but I can't think of a reason why would they be disappointed in the Vongola, they've been in every single battle except this one because Vindicce beat them to be mysterious.

Yeah, I didn't list them because I didn't think they really fit the first two criteria. Sure, they're a mysterious organization who KNOWS THINGS!! THINGS THEY SHOULDN'T!!, but it seems like a stretch to say that they know the Vongola "better than anyone." And they've been neutral parties in every single appearance before this, so I can't picture them being disappointed in the Vongola, let alone taking sides with the Shimon family against them.

I guess it's still a possibility, though; there's a lot we don't know about them, after all.

SHIRTLESS BATTLES = AUTOMATIC WIN.

Hmm, I don't quite see it myself, but maybe it's the slightly shifty look in his eyes. It's a more serious expression than we normally see on Ryohei's face.

i can't picture anyone hating the Vongola, specifically the Tenth generation, enough for them to share their info to the enemy like that. heck, NOBODY EVEN KNEW THE SHIMON EXISTED AND HATED THE VONGOLA until AFTER the inheritance ceremony.

That's why my money is on either D. Spade or Vongola Secondo. The Primo-era Vongola family members are really the only ones who would know enough about the Shimon family to side with them, and we know for a fact that Spade and Secondo had philosophical differences with the way Primo led things back in his day. Since Tsuna is a second coming of Primo in many ways, they have reason to be "disappointed" with the way things are heading under his leadership, then. And both of them could have been contacted by the Shimon family without stretching the plot too much; the Shimon had access to Chrome's ring to talk to Spade, and it's very possible that Secondo has some connection to Shimon Cozart that we don't yet know about, and the Shimon family have some sort of artifact of their own that could enable them to contact him. IT COULD HAPPEN. XD

The more I reread the battle, the more certain I am that Ryohei was just waiting out the first half to gauge Aoba's strength before launching his counterattack. Limit break or not, next week he's definitely going to take the fight back to him. AND I WILL BE CHEERING HIM ON ALL THE WAY. o/

GARYUU IS THE SHIT, SON! And Ryohei's cranked up the awesome level of this chapter to beyond EXTREME. It was so shonen I could feel testosterone flooding my fangirl body.

Although i agree with you that Kawahira needs more showtiem. I mean, seriously, he's got a HELL RING. Anyone with hell rings has to be awesome (with the exception of Genkishi....well, Genkishi was awesome until he made Yamamoto kiss a wall, and the whole I LOVE BYAKURAN thing) and HE NEEDS MORE SCREENTIME. (So does Fran but never mind that.)
Wouldn't saying that Garyuu is the best box animal after Uri and Nuts kinda...sad. I mean, it's kinda obvious they're cuter, smaller, and have tonnes of personality, and the rest of the box animals are kinda fail...except Roll. ROLL IS SO CUTE (and un-Hibari like).
