HI EVERYONE.
So, I have been gone for several months! My last post was in July! Hur hur hur. This is what happened: I was busy and I didn't update one week and I was like, "oh, well, I'll just do it next week." And then the next week came along and I was still busy and I was like, "Okay, so I'll do a big triple update the week after this!" And then that week came along and SUDDEN PLOT TWIST, . LIFE IS A COMEDY.
Soooooo what this means is that for the last couple of months my only Internet access has been via iPhone, meaning fic and chapter reviews and all that has been put on the backburner because haha you kind of need a keyboard for all that good stuff. So, I'm like... nine chapters behind on KHR? Something like that. Basically.
But this story has a happy ending, because just now today I finally got myself a brand new laptop, this little hellraiser over here, which I am exceedingly pleased with so far. Ignore those two negative reviews because this thing is freaking awesome. I have christened him Watson, and he and I have spent the last two or three hours getting acquainted with one another and he is really quite the charming fellow. We are thinking of getting a new Photoshop together, but due to hypothetical money I may or may not hypothetically want to spend, I am open to any hypothetical suggestions on where one might hypothetically obtain a copy of Photoshop without hypothetically paying... for... the things... and... yeah. >_> ANY SUGGESTIONS ON THIS WOULD BE A+, as I hear tell it's a little more difficult to do these days than it was the last time I was setting up a new computer.

Last but not least, immediately following this post I will start doing catch-up reviews until I am fully caught up with the most recent KHR once again. Now that I have a sexy fast laptop at last my activity should go up a bit, because that was one of the main things keeping me from being on LJ more frequently. (To explain this a little more: my current laptop is running on an Intel i7 quad core processor with Sandy Bridge and all that shit, and 6 GBs of RAM. HOLLA. Whereas my last computer before this... had 128 MBs of RAM. Yeah. That is not a typo or anything, that is literally all I had to work with. Someday soon I will look back and that and laugh, and then cry just a little bit.) I have been keeping up with the manga and the Arco Arc has been pretty spiffy so far and I am excited about it and I have many OPINIONS which I wish to share with you, friends and neighbors of the Interwebs! Plus I am like dying to write fic again so much it's not even funny, I have no fewer than three giant fics I want to write all at once and I have PLANS, ladies and gents. This may be the first year ever that I end up doing NaNo. We shall see! Obviously I have quite a long history of saying I will do things and then not doing the things, so let's take things easy for now.
Anyway, I missed you all and I am super psyched to be back, HUGS FOR ALL OF YOU. <3 And now I'm off to go find a copy of KHR 247 and type things about it.

NRGH I have like this list of things to do whenever I have spare time and am near a computer, and it goes like, "POST PICS FROM THE HP71/2 PREMIERE" and "FINISH UP THAT MEME" and "WORK ON UNDERCOVER FIC" and "POST RECAP/REACTION POST FROM NEW CHAPTER" and only one of those things ever seems to get done! XD Well, good progress has also been made on the fic, I suppose, but not soon enough for it to actually be an Undercover fic any more, sadly. I'm still having a lot of fun with that thing, though.Anyway, time to get to the one thing I can still manage to reliably do on the Internet.
( That thing of course being CAPSLOCK. )

WHY IS THERE A NEW CHAPTER OUT I'M SO CONFUSED.( But... happy? I guess?? )
P.S. so on Saturday my sis was caller number 7 to 102.7 Fresh FM and won tickets to the NYC premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (PART 2!!), and then on Monday we totally fucking WENT to that premiere, baby, we went there and we SAW that movie, dudes. We saw the shit out of it. AND IT WAS AMAAAAAAAZINNNG and I really should just do a whole separate post on that but it was one of those things where I just have so many ~feelings~ about it that I'm not really sure how to put it into words. But probably maybe I will make a post about it in a day or so with pictures and lots of capslocking about how HOLY SHIT I WAS IN THE SAME ROOM WITH RUPERT GRINT EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE LIKE A THOUSAND OTHER PEOPLE THERE, . For now, though, I just had to mention it because it would be pretty ridiculous if the most interesting thing that has happened to me in like years just came and went and the next day all I posted about was KHR.
Though in fairness, seriously! WHY IS IT OUT ON A TUESDAY. ?? Well, whatever.

SO SCREWED. I'm not sure whether to bow out entirely or just switch last-minute to a less ambitious fic, but as for the one I was working on? There is just no way in hell I will be able to finish it in time. Which is just as well, I suppose, since this way I don't have to worry about mixing up my writing style or trying to disguise it or whatever. It makes my life easier!But probably you didn't come here to listen to me blather on about fic! You came because once again it is the weekend and time to sit around the campfire and tell scary stories to each other about Daemon Spade, the sinister man who comes in the night and stares at children with his hideous giant torso eyeballs, and who fills elevators with blood and stuff.

Notes/Warnings: I think this was inspired by an offhand remark
daigranon made like half a year ago about wanting to see more fic with all of the "genius" characters of KHR interacting. I then proceeded to write this, to prove that in KHR the word "genius" is a very relative term....THIS IS A CRACK FIC. Just to be clear on that!
Summary: The geniuses of KHR form a club to get their nerd on.

Darn it all, knew it was too good to be true!( It's like if the award show 'WRAP IT UP!' music started playing, but the Inheritance Arc was just all, 'FUCK OFF, I'M NOT FINISHED YET, I'D LIKE TO THANK MY PRODUCER AND MY PET GOLDFISH AND ALL THE PEOPLE APPARENTLY ON CRACK WHO MADE THIS POSSIBLE, BLAH BLAH BLAH...' )
Damn good KHR, at that.( Quite possibly the finest quality available this side of 2011, I might even venture to say. )
Hot Care Bear superheroes. My standards for KHR are really not that high. As long as someone is being particularly hot at least once per chapter, I'm happy. Toss in some bonus gayness and, if we've been extra good, a mountain or two of crack (and sometimes, if we made the right wish on the right shooting star at 11:11, we may even get character development), and I'm on cloud 9.So I left chapter 339 on a happy note and am waiting patiently with my napkin folded in my lap for a delicious helping of chapter 340.

Anyway (IS ANYONE EVEN OUT THERE READING THIS ANYMORE??), I missed like five chapters apparently, so what I am going to do is post a review a day for five days. And then on the sixth day, I am going to the beach! AND THEN ON THE SEVENTH DAY I WILL COME BACK AND DO THE SIXTH REVIEW. It almost worked out nicely, but what are you gonna do.
So I think we are starting with KHR 336!

Due to a combination of work/family/holidays/what-have-you keeping you busy and you also being kind of a LAZY ASS in general, and also that one insanely addictive webcomic you went and got yourself addicted to in the spare time you do have, you masterfully put off updating your LJ for several weeks like a winner! GOOD JOB, CHAMP. (But at least you finally got that promotion at work so that was kind of cool.)
REGARDLESS! It occurs to you in a moment of holy-shit-what that you have not made a post in your journal since fucking April. Fucking April SEVENTEENTH. Seriously, did you just forget the Internet even existed?? That is twenty-four fucking days that passed where you did not even log in to your journal. If you weren't so busy now furiously rushing to post stupid meta-updates, you would take a moment to go hang your head in shame somewhere.
Sadly, there is no time for that. KHR 336 is already on the horizon, and unless you really want to cross that unspoken invisible line and post a triple-chapter recap (MADNESS), you know what it is that you must do.
My poor LJ is so neglected lately that I feel like I might need to hire a maid or something to look after the old place when I'm not around. Or at least remember to dust every once in a while.Anyway, it appears that while I was away, KHR boldly challenged readers of the 21st century by becoming the first SJ manga to feature an openly gay main character! Or at least, that's what I took away from chapter 332. It's been a week since I first skimmed it, but I distinctly recall leaving with an impression of lots of explosions, heartwarming declarations of boyhood affections, and really not much else! So this will probably be a short-ish recap, done quickly and haphazardly in preparation to move on to chapter 333 which I haven't read yet and am super excited for because I LOVES ME SOME PRIMOS, OH YES I DO.

Yes, lulz. Which is somewhat surprising given that we are entering the climactic final battle between our hero and his former friend turned bitter enemy, but KHR always did like to fly in the face of convention like that. Making a mockery of our expectations.( On the other hand, given that this is KHR, maybe you WERE expecting it! )
