Since KHR is still annoyingly not out yet, I took a meme from [livejournal.com profile] amcw177!

I. Pick 30 of your favorite movies
II. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
III. Post them here for everyone to guess.
IV. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
V. No Googling/using IMDb search or other search functions. In other words, NO CHEATING. D<

As I happen to love both movies and quoting them, I enjoyed this. )

ETA: sob it took me more than two hours to notice that there was a really obvious typo in the first sentence of this post. SO EMBARRASSED AHHHHH.

ETA 2: Well, that's pretty much all of them. |D

Comment if you'd like a color. Then list ten things that you like/love which are that color.

SHE GAVE ME PURPLE. )

And I got tagged by [livejournal.com profile] irtiolre to do that meme that everyone and their grandma has already done before me.

The Meme:

♠ If you've been tagged, you must write your answers in your own LJ and replace any question that you dislike with a new question.
♠ Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.
Haha that's not going to happen. XD BUT ANYWAY.

Lastly, I took this meme because everyone was doing it.

i've always wanted to tell you

Haha. Well, that was fun.

1. So I saw Half-Blood Prince at 12:01 back on Tuesday night, and I know fan opinion's been mixed, but I thought it was awesome. HBP was my favorite in the series (though depending on what mood I'm in, my favorite book is also Prisoner of Azkaban and on occasion, Deathly Hallows as well), and I thought it was adapted very well. I wasn't disappointed by any of the cuts (especially if the rumor that they're going to open the next film with Dumbledore's funeral turns out to be true), and I thought they nailed the crucial scenes (particularly the showdown with Dumbledore, Malfoy, and then Snape). And it was easily the best-acted of all six films, not to mention the funniest.

Without a doubt, my favorite part was the entire Felix Felicis sequence--Radcliffe was brilliant throughout. I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. And then it just perfectly segued into the scene with Slughorn in Hagrid's Hut, and that was really well done too. Overall, I had reservations about David Yates after Order of the Phoenix (which I didn't enjoy half as well), but I'm really excited for the last two films now.

2. I finished my [livejournal.com profile] khr_undercover fic a few days ago! That's about as early as I've ever finished something that was on a deadline, which is actually kind of sad, lol. Anyway, now that it's done and all (and since I've discovered I have absolutely no motivation whatsoever to even try and edit it myself XD), I figure I should get this beta thing sorted out.

EDIT: Removed the info pertaining to the fic in a likely futile effort to avoid giving people anymore hints now that the guessing part of the challenge is getting underway. XD

A TRAP, IT WAS A TRAP D:

Okay, so Happy Thing of the Day, Part Deux: Today I watched The Fellowship of the Ring (EXTENDED EDITION!!1) with my sister just cuz. It's one of those movies where we've both seen it a zillion times and have a near-endless list of stupid in-joke things for it that make us laugh. EXAMPLES:

- The Road Goes Ever On and On. WE CRACK UP EVERY TIME. This is because we both read The Fellowship of the Ring: Breadbox Edition, and are both just immature enough to think "BORK! BORK! BORK!" is the most hysterical thing ever.
- Aragorn's voice during the Council of the Ring. For some reason, when he says "You cannot wield it! None of us can!" his voice sounds inexplicably higher than usual, like he's on helium or something. Again, this cracks us up every time without fail.
- Any time Frodo and Gandalf laugh at something together for some inexplicable reason. "You're late! ...BAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" They're just so cute. Never mind the irony of us laughing at them for laughing at things for no apparent reason. XD
- Elrond. Enough said. But especially when he's telling Isildur to cast the ring into the fire.

And so on and so on. We love the LotR trilogy to death, that's the only reason we're so dumb about it. XD

Anyway, I also did that music meme that was going around a couple weeks ago (how did I go for such a long period without doing any music memes anyway?).

Put your media player on shuffle, and write down the first line of the first twenty songs. Post the song that results. The first line of the twenty-first is the title.

So I spent the weekend watching random Will Ferrell movies (still haven't decided whether or not I want to see Step Brothers, but Anchorman and Talladega Nights are two of the funniest movies ever. Yay for stupidity XD) and Cowboy Bebop episodes. It was quite pleasant. |D

Belated thoughts on Reborn! 204:

Rambling goes here )

Hope everyone who's going to Otakon has fun. <3

Icon meme

makeste: (Oh boy! Sleep!)
Randomness: I think My Neighbor Totoro might be the cutest movie ever. My baby sister is watching it right now, and it's like cuteness keeps rising up from the background in waves. XD

Actual topic: RAWR, ICON MEME! From [livejournal.com profile] o_melody_nelson. ♥

Comment here and I will reply to you and tell you what icon of yours I associate with you. Once I reply, please repost this in your own journal, because I want to know what icon you associate with me. (Last part not required, but if you want to do so then by all means. |D)

Aside from me injuring my back like a genius on Monday and spending the next couple days moving as little and as awkwardly as possible in order to avoid agonizing pain (thankfully it's feeling better now), this has been a pretty good week so far. For starters, I finally saw The Dark Knight on Sunday (and then again on Tuesday because it was so good I was willing to put myself through the misery of sitting in an uncomfortable theater seat for two and a half hours despite the aforementioned back problems), and like everyone else in the world has already noted, IT KICKED ASS.

Cut for spoilers on the off chance that there are still people who haven't seen this. )

In other awesome news, this. :DDDDD

Two thoughts:

1) PLEASE BE TRUE OMG OMG OMG.
2) Screw DBZ; this is the kind of live-action anime adaptation people should be looking to make. I HOPE IT SUCCEEDS BEYOND PEOPLE'S WILDEST EXPECTATIONS AND ANIME ADAPTATION FILMS BECOME AS WIDESPREAD AND POPULAR AND SUCCESSFUL AS COMIC BOOK ADAPTATIONS. And then they make a live-action KHR movie. Because if it was done right it would totally be amazing.

So I just saw Wall-E, and it was awesome. IMO Pixar hasn't made a bad movie yet, but some are definitely better than others, and this was one of the really good ones. Probably only The Incredibles and Finding Nemo are higher on my list. It was funny, it was sweet, and damn it but it left me feeling really good afterwards. (Plus it has the distinction of being the only Pixar movie to feature an ending credit song that I actually liked. XD)

BUT, this post is not actually about Wall-E; this post is about KHR episode 89 spoilers.

This is the one with the FLASHBACK, guys. )

Also, the new chapter is up at OneManga in case anyone was waiting for the scanlation. |D
